"Put him down on the medical bed!''Bruce yelled to Dick who was carrying the wounded Robin in his arms. Damian grunted as he was laid down on the stretcher. "We have to stop the bleeding and fast. Tim!" Bruce yelled and Tim came running with a bag of Damian's blood, hanging it up and putting in an IV into Damian's arm.

"It's going to be okey Habibi." Dick reassured as he stroked some sweaty strands of hair away from his forehead. Then he removed Damian's domino mask, revealing the brilliantly green eyes that showed immense pain.

"J...Jon...Is he?" Damian got out before wincing as Bruce poured alcohol on his wound. Dick took his hand and got Damian's attention.

"He is fine, he is still in the fight but they are winning, he is going to be okay, thanks to you." Dick squeezed his hand and Damian nodded.

"Okey Damian you need to stay still for this, or if you like we could-"

"No anesthesia I'm not...I'm not going under, just get the fucking thing out." Damian interrupted and Bruce nodded. Dick moved to hold Damian still as Tim and Bruce started working on the wound in his abdomen. Bruce was carefully removing the foreign object as Tim stopped the smaller bleeds as they came. Finally Bruce pulled out the decimeter long green glowing rock. Damian glanced up and looked at it. "Fucking kryptonite." Dick laughed as he took a new hold of his little brother's hand.

"At least it matches your eyes." He said with a laugh and Damian gave him a death glare.

"It missed all vital organs." Tim stated matter of factly and Damian scoffed.

"Correction, I shifted my vital organs out of the way." Tim rolled his eyes at the younger and moved to make sure there was no other damage before starting to stitch up the wound. After it was stitched they removed his suit and Tim took care of the minor injuries on Damian while Dick and Bruce took care of themselves and talked with the supers who were still fighting the villain. Finally Tim put away his instruments and gave Damian a pat on the shoulder, and guided him to lay down.

"Sleep demon child." He said teasingly and Damian smirked as he rested back.

"Fuck off pretender." Tim returned the smirk and then walked out, leaving the seventeen year old to rest.

The cave quieted down and Damian sighed as he felt himself start to drift off.

Jon was panting when he flew into the cave. Was Damian alright? Was he even alive? The cave seemed empty and Jon listened for heartbeats, hearing one from the medical wing. He quickly ran over and pulled the curtains to the side, a weight lifted off his heart. There was Damian, alive, sleeping soundly on the stretcher. Jon smiled at his best friend, ready to take his place next to him, when Damian moved and the blanket on top of him shifted and revealed his chest.

Jon froze, just under Damian's well defined chest there were two scars, one on either side. And normally that wouldn't be so strange, Damian was covered head to toe in scars but these were different. They were medical scars and Jon had seen scars like them before,  on people who had had their breasts removed. Foremost trans men. Jon's brain was running haywire, what did this mean? Had Damian had his breast removed? Had he had breasts? Was he even a he? Jon felt so confused and just as he was about to walk out the voice of his best friend made him look up. Meeting the half lidded emerald green eyes that he loved.

"Jon?" Damians voice was sore and he looked tired but he still noticed Jon's tense demeanour. He furrowed his brow, narrowing his eyes a little to concentrate and then he felt it, the cold air against his bare chest, he looked down seeing his top surgery scars were visible. "Oh." he said before pulling the blanket up a bit. He looked away, feeling ashamed and scared, and a bit angry. He didn't think Jon of all people would have a problem with his condition. But then again it was reasonable to be surprised when you find out that your best friend isn't who or rather what you think they were.
