7. Head Over Heals

RAHUL:

I sighed for the umpteenth time.

I am in a meeting with my board members. It's getting crazy. They were all arguing to prove their points.

"Stop it. Are you guys a bunch of school kids? Stop the shouting now." I said angrily banging my hand on the table.

Just then my phone rang saving me from all the bickering.

Seeing Cherry's name I dismissed the meeting.

"Everyone is dismissed. We will have this meeting another day." Something told me this call is going to take some time.

I was shocked to hear that she was in hospital.

I rushed to my car and drove in record time breaking dozen traffic rules. She will definitely ask about this.

As expected she teased me about breaking the rules.

And that Karthik asked if we were a couple and Cherry said no straight away.

If only she knew what I feel for her.

I love her and I don't know how to say this to her. I don't want to mess our relation by telling my feelings out to her.

Helping her sit in the car, I opened all the windows and started driving.

If you are wondering why I did that

"Gosh, thanks for opening the windows. The drive in Karthik's car was horrible. He had ac on. I was already uncomfortable with car and on top of that AC. How do you guys even travel in all this closed space?! I think it's the main reason for me to faint" she exclaimed.

Yup she has car sickness. If she is riding with us in the car all the dust will be inside. She won't allow us to close the windows. Got used to this anyways.

"What happened? Why is Karthik with you?" I asked not taking my eyes of the road.

She said what happened and how she ended up in the hospital.

"I need to inform Rohit that everything is alright here. He must be panicking now. I texted him thinking it was something serious" I said rubbing my forehead.

"Why did you do that?! You know he is out of country now. Gosh Rahul. You are such an idiot." She said annoyed.

"If Rohit was in my place he would do the same thing. We are supposed to know if something happens to you. You know we care for you." I said calmly looking at her.

"Idiot." she said with a smile on her face,

"Okay I will talk to him." Saying she took her mobile.

After settling her in her room I asked "How do you feel now? Should I stay back?"

"No need for that. I feel fine. Just order me a pizza and go do your work." She said with a cute smile.

She knows I can't say no for food especially to her. Little devil.

"Okay. Take care." Kissing her forehead I headed to resume my meetings.

KARTHIK:

I heaved a sigh of relief when I got to know the amount of damage happened was within the insured levels.

It's already evening when I finished the formalities relating to the fire accident.

I thought of seeing Cherry once before going to my house.

Reaching her flat I knocked on the door. I could hear some muffled music.

What?!

Opening the door, there she was in her track pants and t shirt, her hair in a messy bun, a spoon in her mouth.

Music was playing on full volume.

She smiled seeing me, and holding my hand dragged me into the house and started dancing holding my hands.

What the hell?!

I was amused to see her behaving like this.

"You always dance like this?" I asked laughing.

"Yes." She said nodding her head and moving with the beat. Some fast beat song was playing.

"But how is your health. Shouldn't you be resting or something?" I asked moving along with her.

"Gosh why do you talk so much?! Stop talking and dance with me".

She is crazy.

Her dancing was not perfect but the way she was enjoying made it look so good that you can say it as almost perfect.

After a few minutes her roommate entered the hall to see us dancing.

Cherry dragged her to us and made her dance along with her.

After sometime we were all exhausted and panting like dogs.

We all fell on the couches laughing.

"That was fun. Right?" Cherry asked with a broad smile.

"You are crazy" I said smiling.

"Yea it's the same as fun. Wait I will bring something to drink" saying she walked into the kitchen.

"Crazy girl" her roommate said shaking her head.

"Hi I am Priya."

"Karthik" I said smiling.

"So you are the boss man she was fussing about?!" Priya asked with a small smile.

"I am her boss, yes. She talks about me?" I asked getting curious.

"What did she tell?"

"Here guys. Take it"

Great timing Cherry.

Taking the glass from her I said a small thank you.

"Okay guys, I will go now. I will see you tomorrow Cherry." Saying I returned to my house.

She is really crazy. And I am sure I fell head over heals for this crazy girl.
