30. Doesn't Get Me Anything

Cherry is in 8th month now. So many things happened in these two months.

I appointed a new PA. So Cherry's work load has drastically reduced. That's a relief.

Rahul and Priys got married within two weeks after Rahul proposed to her. They were more eager to tie the knot and now Priya is 4 weeks pregnant.

'We knew each other for a pretty long time. There's nothing knew to know about each other. So we thought why can't we start a new chap in our life.' is what they said when they announced their pregnancy.

The most shocking thing was Rohit and Siri are a couple.

We were too shocked to believe them.

Vishnu thought they were playing some prank. They used to fight all most all the time. But how did this happen, we don't know.

Coming to Vishnu, he is as single as ever. Though he says he is happy to be single for as long as it happens, I know deep down he misses this happiness of being with your love.

Anyways, coming back to me and cherry, today is the weekend and we thought of resting, than roaming out.

After having our lunch I was sprawled out relaxing in the lounge. Cherry was sleeping in our room or I thought so.

Hearing some noise in the kitchen I walk down to see Cherry searching the cupboards with a spoon in her mouth.

With her heavy bump, bare feet giving cute expressions, she is a site to watch for sore eyes.

I was standing there watching her food hunt. She turned around, seeing me stand there, started glaring. Oh oh..! Get ready for an outburst.

"There is nothing to eat. Do you have any concern that a pregnant lady is living in this home? I am hungry and tired." She spoke angrily.

"But baby these are all food." I said opening the cupboard she was searching a few minutes ago. Another wrong move.!

"I want icecream. All I got is an empty container." She said throwing that empty box in the bin. Damn.! I am dead now.

Her phone rang just then. "Yes Rahul."

"Ho. Thank God. I want icecream. This husband of mine doesn't get me anything. Please I am waiting." Saying she disconnected the call.

What the hell?! The kitchen is full of food and I didn't get her anything to eat? Great.

"Really? I didn't get you anything?" I asked scoffing.

She didn't reply and walked to the living room. Sitting on the couch she turned on the tv.

Shaking my head I went and sat down near the couch. Taking her swollen feet I started massaging them watching some news channel.

Some time later "Karthik..!" hearing her panicked voice I looked up from my mobile to see her pointing to the tv.

"The shopping outlet Little Feet was bombed and half of the outlet was destroyed. Authorities were trying to clear the fire. It may take some more time to check for the casualties." The news reader spoke.

What the fuck..! I am sure it's the work of our rival. I was bursting with anger.

Just then Rahul came and at the same time my phone rang to see it is Saara.

Picking up the call I spoke to her. "Yes Saara I just saw the news. I am on my way." Saying I disconnected the call.

Cherry was standing with one hand on her belly and the other one holding the remote control still watching the news. Rahul was next to her staring at the news.

"Cherry, baby sit down first." I said helping her sit.

"Love look at me. I need to go there. Everything will be fine. Don't panic ok?" I said looking at her face.

"Please be safe." She said in a shaky voice.

"I will come with you." Rahul said taking his jacket that he just put on the couch.

"No you stay with her. Please make sure she is ok."  I said to Rahul taking my jacket.

"Ok fine. I will call Rohit and Vishnu." he said taking his phone.

I nodded and left the house.
