Chapter 9 Part 1-Friends and Work

After the event with my old teacher, I went back to my company HQ for meetings and encounters with different people who wanted my help because their companies are going to close soon if they don't have more money. I usually accept all of them except the ones that need more than just money or too much money that I can lend them. Nora didn't come with me because she wanted to stay with Karma and Simon to discover some parts of Japan. Today is my first day after the three days vacation that I took. I am overwhelmed by meetings and I don't even have the time to eat my lunch or go to the toilets. I visited the three departments during my small lunch break and received a couple of new video games to try and some food that needs to be approved. After lunch, I got back to my office to see my assistant talking with my best partner in business. Mr. Beiming has been working with my parents and when they died he was always here with me to help me. He worked in association with my company five years before I was even born. You can say he is like a second father. His hair is half white and half brown. His brown eyes are always illuminated. Always wearing a tuxedo, he is serious when it comes to work. I bought the company of his brother when I was in Japan. He should've taken it instead but he didn't want to because his work is already a lot. I walk to them and start to talk with them. When I was talking about my new company, my phone rang and I needed to excuse myself.

- Hello?

- Hi, princess.

From the nickname, I already discovered who called me.

- Hi, redhead. How are you? How's Nora?

- I'm fine and don't worry, little princess is fine, she has a lot of energy and sometimes, I swear, she looks exactly like you.

- Well it's good. But I hope you don't replace me with my cousin, I joke.

- Oh, I think it's already done. She met Koro and started to attack him while laughing. I'm telling you, she is exactly like you in appearance and character. Even Karasuma is saying that she is like you. I guess you were a difficult kid when you were young?

- Yeah, I was. I always liked to prank everyone. I was the kind of kid to never stand in the same place for more than two minutes. I should say, I am the one who raised Nora, so it's normal to see her act like me.

- Wow, I never knew you were so good with kids. How many kids do you want to have with me later?

I got distracted by Harnold who came up to me and asked me a question that I didn't really understand. I just answered him.

- Maybe two or three, I don't know.

I hear Karma choke on something and get back to the call.

- Y/n, did you understand what I just asked you?

- Yeah, you asked me how many children I want to have with ...

My face becomes 50 shades of red and shock gets over me as I realize what I give him like an answer.

- I don't believe it. You want to have kids with me?!

He screams at the other side of the phone. I guess it's to tell someone that I'm talking to him and embarass me in front of my friends.

- I'm sorry. I was answering a question on my work. I just answered yours without really paying attention.

- That hurts, princess. You're saying that work is more important than me.

- Anyway, call me when you finish school. I need to go back to work.

- Of course.

I ended the call and turn my attention to Harnold as he was giving me a document.
