Chapter 11 Part 1-House Problems

It's been a week since the ball with Karma. He left a few days ago. I've been working non-stop since then. My work was becoming easier to do because there wasn't that much work left. Harnold helped me a lot since he knew that I wanted to travel back to Japan really soon. I was supposed to leave after tomorrow and so I rushed all my work in these two days. I didn't have a second to breathe, meeting after meeting, I ate my lunch while answering emails. I stayed in my office from 7 am to 9 pm each day.

The day started like usual, I woke up, ate breakfast and then went to work. But something came up while I was preparing my desk for the day. Harnold came in really fastly telling me:

- Y/n! Some police officers are here to talk to you.

- Okay, don't look so stressed out. Everything is going to be okay. Let them come in.

Harnold just nodded and got back outside to call two mens and a woman. They all sit down except Harnold who is beside my chair.

- What can I do for you, I ask them politely.

- We are here to tell you something. It's really bad news and we are sorry to tell you it, the taller man started.

- We received a call this morning about the factor of your aunt, the second man continued.

- Your aunt is dead, she was killed about a week ago by B.R.R. We found the red roses on her, they were covered by her blood, and the women finished.

I fake my shocked expression and started to cry.

- I- It isn't possible she couldn't be dead! . . . Why was she killed? Why did B.R.R have to kill her of all people?!

- We think it might be because she used to hurt her girl, your cousin, and because she always was alcoolic. We heard that she gave you the responsibility of her daughter. Is it true? the tallest man ask again

- Yes, *sob* she thought it would be better *sob* in case something happened to her. I didn't think it would *sob* actually happen to her, I answer.

- You know, your aunt wasn't very nice to anyone. She even killed someone in her teenage years. I'm sure B.R.R. have a good reason to kill her, she always has, the woman tells me.

- Yes I know, but she still is myfamily. I have already lost my parents, my brother and my uncle. All that was missing was losing my aunt. Why is the world against me?! What did I ever do to him?!

The three officers looked at each other and decided that it was time to leave.

- This is all the money and the key to your aunt's house. She wants you to keep it for her daughter. When she becomes older she wants you to give them to her.

- Okay, I will make sure that my cousin lives happily, I say between fake sobs.

They nod and get out with Harnold. I finally stop crying and smirk. Harnold gets in after a few minutes.

- I didn't think you would actually do it. You are crazy, what if they discover it's you?!

- Don't worry, B.R.R. makes a perfect job. Never leave a trace other than the two roses.

He smiles and gets back to his work.

- Y/n! Mr. Beiming wants to talk to you in urgence.

- Let him enter then.

Mr. Beiming comes in and gives me a black paper. His face, normally happy, is now scared. I start to read:

You should really let her go, she don't care about you,
