The question made Zelda's heart skip a beat. She blinked a couple times but the hand Link was now extending to her didn't go away. She wasn't dreaming.

A dance with the prince? A simple servant like her?

Despite the fact she was on the verge of declining, her hand met his before her lips could form the phrase "no thank you".

Link's face lit up, and he slowly began leading Zelda to the center of the dance floor.

Several pairs of eyes were glued onto them, watching their every move, and Zelda's nerves were all over the place. She'd never done anything in front of crowd that sizable before.

Kass noticed that the first dance of the prince's was about to begin, and quickly scoured through his sheet music for the perfect song to play.

Once he found it, he quickly raised his baton again and the sweetest tune of the night filled the room.

"You'll have to excuse me; I've never really danced like this before..." Zelda apologized once the pair had reached the middle.

Link shook his blonde head.

"Not to worry, I've never exactly been good at it either," he chuckled, and Zelda could feel her knees grow a little weak from underneath her.

It must have been from the growing pressure the audience's gaze inflicted.

Nevertheless, Zelda exhaled her breath, trying to subside the butterflies that wouldn't seem to stop fluttering everywhere inside her.

Link then directed his hand around her waist, gently pulling her closer; nearly immediately releasing all the nerves Zelda had just worked to detain.

Following his lead, Zelda placed one trembling hand on his shoulder.

It was almost as if the music guided them.

The dance started off gentle at first, with Zelda still trying to get a feel for it. Softly they swayed to the rhythm of the music.

After a moment of this, Link grew braver and extended his arm to twirl her around.

"They're all looking at us..." Zelda mumbled, after being pulled back in.

The prince simply laughed again and shook his head.

"Trust me," he replied, "they're all looking at you."

And he was right; much of the audience actually was. So many wondered who this magical mystery girl was that had so easily captured the prince's heart and was now waltzing with him on the floor.

One of those who wondered was Lady Tremaine, who watched the pair intently from off to the sidelines like everyone else. She was unable to shake the feeling that she'd seen this girl before, but where? She did not know.

Revali's magic had truly done its work.

By now, their dancing had only gotten more daring. Link twirled her around more often, and it was about time he tried something new.

Once they'd glided back to the center of the floor, Link let go of the hand he held, and placed it on Zelda's waist.

Before she could ask what he was doing, she was lifted into the air. For just one, brief moment, this boy had given her heart wings.

Within seconds, she was back onto the ground, and the audience roared with applause.

Link had somehow swung her around midair, which was rather impressive given the large volume of her skirt.

After one final twirl, Kass ended the song, and the audience applauded once again.

Link bowed formally and Zelda returned his gesture with a curtsy.

From up on high in the royal box, the king and Teba had stayed completely silent throughout the entirety of the dance.

"Who...is she?" The king asked, turning towards Teba and then Revali, who simply smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"No idea, your highness," the court magician said, taking a moment to sigh.

He'd had about enough of the party.
