Peter's POV
When the cops came around, I stayed on top of the bowling alley. Watching them wheel out so many dead bodies and a couple of badly injured bodies.
"How many are dead?" I heard a woman ask a another women, who had dark black hair and looked like the chief of police.
"Seventeen dead. Two in critical condition and just one who was knocked out."
"This killer just left one man knocked out. Why?" The younger blonde woman asked.
"We don't know. But when he's ready to speak, will figure out what exactly happened here."
I stared at the scene until I got bored. I swung back to my apartment and changed out of my suit, sighing as I landed on my bed, just in my boxers.
"Who is this psycho?" I asked out loud.
They were insane. They just killed seventeen people, why? Why would someone do that. Putting someone in prison is sometimes a better option, than killing them. It teaches them a lesson at least.
I closed my eyes and I swear I could hear the final gun shot go off. I quickly opened my eyes and looked around my apartment. I let out a loud ass sigh and grabbed my phone.
I saw Wanda's number and I smiled. Maybe a date with her, would help me relax. So I clicked on her icon and began to type.
Hey, just curious. Wanna get dinner
tomorrow?Yeah, I would love to!
Sweet, um...can I pick you up at six?
Sure, I live on Houston Street, look for the house with a big blue door.
Alrighty, see you then!
I woke up at eight and went to my shift at the record store at nine. My shift ended at five, so I only had an hour to get ready for the date.
The day went by slowly, we barley had anyone come in and the radio was playing horrible songs today. I just rested on the front counter, head in my hand. Sighing. But the ding of the door bell got my attention, I raised my head and saw Ned walk in. Making my eyes go wide in excitement and fear.
"Shit." I muttered. I straightened my self up and looked at him with a smile. I walked from behind the counter and walked down the aisle towards him. "Hello, is there anything I can help you find today?"
"Um." He looked at me, just like I was a stranger...it really hurt that he didn't know me. My heart kind of broke for a second. "I'm getting a record for my friends birthday."
"Oh." I smiled fakely. I than realized it was MJ's birthday coming up in a week. "How nice of you. What's their genre?"
"Sad and gloomy." He replied.
"And don't forget depressing." I added, chuckling. But he just kind of sent me a look. I cleared my throat. "Sorry."
"It's all good. So what section should I be looking in?"
"Um...there." I pointed towards the section and he walked over there as I walked back over to the counter. Mentally punching myself. He's my best friend, why am I so awkward around him.
Ned walked up and placed down a 'Nirvana.' Record.
"Nice choice." I complimented.
