Peter's POV

I waited patiently at the coffee shop, fiddling my thumbs and looking out the window in anticipation. Wanda wasn't late...I was just extremely early...like twenty minutes early.

When the clock hit 10, I smiled and stared at the door. I kept looking at the clock and then the door. 2 minutes passed and my smile faded...maybe I was being to forward, maybe she wasn't gonna show.

But then she walked through the door, wearing a pair of black jeans and a grey sweater. Her hair was in a braid that draped down her shoulder...she was gorgeous.

"Hey." She smiled.

"Hey." I said, looking up at her. She took a seat across from me and I took the moment to study her. She had gorgeous eyes you could get lost in, a smile that lights up the room.

"So how are you?" She asked me.

"Good, how are you?"

"Tired." She laughed.

"Busy work day?"

"You could say that." She smiled.

Interesting response. "What do you do for a job?"

She expression changed quickly and she looked at me in a bit of fear...like she wasn't hoping that question would be asked. "Um...I actually just quit my job." She muttered.

That's why...dipshit. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry into like that."

"No it's okay, no apology necessary." She reassured.

"Can I ask why?"

"Yeah." She let out a sigh. She repositioned her self and crossed her arms over her chest. "I worked as a waitress down town, a bunch of my friends worked there and they all started quitting one by one, so there was no point in staying in a place that has no one you wanna be around. So now I'm just looking for something new."

"Wow...um. Well I really hope that you find a new job." I said super awkwardly...how do you even respond to that...not like that, you dummy.

"Same." She muttered. But than suddenly her attitude changed and she wore a big smile, placing her arms on the table in a much more comfortable matter. "So...where do you work? Do you work?"

"Yeah...I work at a record store near my apartment."

"Oh that's so cool! I'm gonna need to stop by."

"You totally should, I'll be happy to help you." I said with a smirk, she looked at me with the same intrigue in her eyes.

"I might have to take you up that."

We stared at each other for a moment in a non awkward silence, but I could feel some tension rising in the air.

"So." I rubbed the back of my neck. "Should we get some coffee?" I asked.

"Yeah." We got up and each ordered our coffee's. She got a caramel iced capp, while I got a white chocolate mocha. We sat down back at the table and began chatting some more.

"So what do you do for fun?" She asked.

"Oh I swi..." I stopped myself and she cocked her head to the side, giving me a confused look. Play it off...PLAY IT OFF! "I swim...I love to swim. I go to the pool a lot."

She looked at me, smiling. "I like swimming to. It's so relaxing."

"Yeah." I laughed uncomfortably. "Um, I also love to play video games, listen to music, watch movies...anything like that."

"Same! I love to just relax and chill. It's literally my favourite thing to do." She exclaimed, looking so much more comfortable than she did before.

"Awesome." I said in awe at this woman in front of me. She was perfect.
