The day zombies took over

POV Daniel

"Okay guys, lets hop in the car" I tell everyone as we're all still sad that we lost Robert.

So mom gets in the drivers seat, Brad got shotgun, Alex and Anna got the middle seats and me Caleb and Madelyn got the three back seats

"Hey, I understand your pain, but I'm going to tell you, the more you grief the better chance you have of death, and I don't want you to die, so just be aware of your surroundings alright" I told Caleb as he was hurt the most of his fathers passing.

"Yeah, I got you man, I just wish we had more time with him" he said

I touch his shoulder showing that I'm here to support him

"Ah a town, if it's not too heavily over run let's find some food and stuff" I said as we approach a town area

"Yah it doesn't look to be too bad here" Brad said

"There" Alex said and pointed to a grocery store

"Okay Brad, Anna, Alex you guys are going in" I said

"Why me, I don't want to go" Anna said

"Sorry your the one that know what kind of foods to get, Alex would get cheez its, and crap like that" I pointed out

"Fine I'll go in" she agreed

"Alright let's move let's move" Brad said

POV Brad

"Okay Anna you get the fruits and vegetables, Alex you get other stuff" I said

"Okay, what are you gonna do" Alex asked

"I'm going to the pharmacy to get pills and stuff, it might come in more handy then you think" I responded

So as I walk into the pharmacy section, I stumble upon a sleeping zombie, I try to walk past in as quiet as I could, but it heard me and got up jumped on me
I didn't have enough time to get my gun out so I struggle trying to get it off of me

POV Daniel

"Ugh there taking too long what's wrong" I ask

"I don't know but they need to hurry" Mom said

"I'll go check on them" I said

"Take your bow, the guns are too loud" Mom said

I sigh and say "okay"

So I walk in the store with my bow and arrow and notice Brad about 47 yards away so I pull back my bow and I got a wonderful feeling that I had not felt in a long time

I notice the kept turning around, but I shot anyways

"No you'll shoot him" anna said right as I let go

The arrow flies through the air and land dead on its target, right through the middle of the zombies head.

"Haha Anna I still got the groove" I said happy that I hit my target and happy cause I missed the feeling of shooting an arrow from a bow.

"Are you kidding me Daniel, you could have killed Brad" Anna said angrily

"Did you never come to one of my archery tournaments Anna" I asked with a smile but surprised she is so mad

"Uh yeah, but those were years ago, you can't just expect to be the same three years after you stop shooting" she said

"Anna, in the best archer in the world you don't have to tell me I can't shoot" I said

"Hey hey guys, your attracting zombies, and plus I'm alive so alls good" Brad said

"Yeah let's get out of here, we got what we need" I said still wondering why Anna is so mad

So we all get in the car and forget about what happened

"Mom is there any sunglasses" Anna asks while sitting in the back seat

"Yah let me look for them" Mom said

So she looks down around the dashboard look for some not paying attention to the road

"MOM WATCH OUT" I yelled as she ran into about ten zombies

Everyone screams as Mom tries to swerve away but the car crashes, but luckily we were all able to get out

"Come on mom" I said as she limped on behind us

"Just go I'll never make it" she said

"No no no we got to get you out of here" I say as I go back to help her

"No Daniel, don't, just go" she said

"I can't leave you here your too important" I said as tears rush down my face cause I realized this would be the last time I'd talk to her

"It's okay Daniel, I was never meant for this world anyways, but you are, so you go and survive as long as you can, and protect the family" she said

"I love you" I said as I slowly walk away in disappointment

"I love you too" she barely said as the zombies come from behind and devour her

I look on crying and running towards the group.
