Chapter 1

Natalie and Violet

I woke up to my alarm going off I rolled over and smacked my alarm clock until it finally stopped beeping. I then rolled over and tried to go back to sleep but just then violet ran into the room and pulled me out of bed and onto the floor I groaned and looked up glaring at her. She smiled and I glared at her. How could anyone be so peppy this early morning, I will never understand. I stood up and she handed me coffee.

"We have to go out to feed the animals," She said and I nodded drinking my coffee and grabbing my clothes to wear. I was dressed and had the rest of my coffee as I ran down the stairs where I found the same empty frames that had been like that since my dad disappeared and everything that had shown him never existed.

I and violet went out and took care of the animals that lived on our farm. When we had just finished when a black car with tinted windows pulled into our driveway. I glanced at violet and she looked worried about it. A man stepped out of the car and walked over to us.

"Violet, Natale it is nice to see you where is your mom." The man said. How did he know my name I did not remember him at all. Did he know me? Was he from the time that I had lost my memory? I had lost my memory of the two years around when my father disappeared. I ended up breaking down and losing my memory of that time.

"I am sorry but do I know you, sir," I said and the man looked astonished that I did not know him. Violet glared at him and he seemed to understand that he should not say anything.

"No sorry I know your sister and she told me about you. Happy late birthday by the way. Now I have to talk to your mother is she here." He said and I noticed that my mom was walking toward us. She smiled at us ignoring the man.

"Why don't you go inside and play Natalie, Rose." Mom said. Wait why did she call her rose she knows her own kid's name so why did she call her that? Violet seemed to understand knowing something that I didn't. We walked inside and Violet dragged me upstairs to my room.

"You need to pack everything you need we will not be back here for a long time if not forever. I know that you have questions but I do not have time to answer them. We can talk when we are in the car meet me by the door when you are done packing." Violet said. I nodded and went to my closet a million thoughts running through my head at once. I grabbed my laptop some clothes and a few other things that I could not leave behind and through them into three different bags before I went downstairs. I meet violet by the door and we got into the car.

We sat in our seats and mom turned on the car. As we drove off I started asking questions. Mom and Violet shared a look before the two of them started answering my questions the best that they could.
