Chapter 2

Hollow and Valentina

Past

I woke up to my cushion jumping on my squeaky bed. She did this every morning and it was nothing, today was the worst day to do it because it was Halloween. I know that sounds weird but Halloween was my birthday and the anniversary of my perents death. I got up and glared at Valentina. She was older than me by a couple of months and was always there for me even though she acted like a little kid.

"Hollow come on mom made breakfast for lunch and we have to pick up our costumes from the trailer soon," She said. I sighed and stood up showing her out of the room so that I could get dressed. I put on a pair of ripped black jeans and a black shirt with lace long sleeves. I then put on my black combat boots and a necklace that had a special charm from my perents.

I walked downstairs and grabbed a piece of bacon to eat. Val rushed me out the door to get our customers from the tailor. I did not intend on doing anything today but Val insisted that we went trick or treating in relaxed customs that she had picked out.

Present Day

I woke up and got dressed for the day walking downstairs to meet up with Valentina. We had to go down to get groceries today. Once we ate breakfast we got ready to head out. As we walked to the store three boys stopped us on the side of the road.

"Hey ghost you see ghosts today," The first boy said and the others smirked. Val looked at me and I rolled my eyes. I was used to it by now ever since my sixteenth birthday I could see ghosts. I was not crazy I could talk to them and make them visible to other.

Val was so annoyed with the boys that she blew them a kiss and all three of them grew pigtails on their butts. Val and I laughed as the three of them ran off crying.

"Great job Val get them for saying I am not real," Kaylee said as she floated above us. Kaylee was a ghost that only I could see and hear but somehow I had given the ability to Val. When I first meet Kaylee Val did not believe me but then when I somehow made her see her she was amazed by it.

"Kaylee, have you been here the whole time? Don't you know that it is rude to eavesdrop" I said? She just smiled in reply but soon her smile faded and she got serious.

"Someone is coming to talk to you but they are not bad so you should listen to them," Kaylee said as two men walked over to us.

"Your Aunt has sent us to get the two of you it is time to fulfill your destiny please go pack your belongings. We will be at your house to pick you up soon." one of the men said.

"Yea no I don't know who the hell you are but you need to back the hell off," Val said blowing a kiss at the two of them trying to give them pigtails to freak them out. Nothing happened and the men just stood there unfazed.

"Please head back everything will be explained soon. For now, pack your things your aunt is aware of what is going on and will help you if you need" They said. We nodded and hurried back to our house stunned at what had just happened. When we got home and went to our rooms we found our bags packed. We grabbed them and went downstairs to find Vals mom.

"There you are. Did you get your bag the men will be here soon to pick you up," she said. What the hell was going on?

"Yea about that why and where are they taking us," I said and she looked at the ground. She did not want to tell us something.

"They are coming to get you because you are two of the elemental five. Your perents tried to stop what was coming so that you would not have to do this but they failed. You will be meeting the other four soon they will all know what you are going through. Just remember that I love you and this is what is best for you." She said and we both smiled and nodded.

I knew that neither of us knew what was going on but if she said it was best for us I trusted her and she said my perents were involved which made me want to know more about it.

The two men came and helped us into a limo after we said goodbye. We then drove off somehow knowing that we were not going to be coming back anytime soon if ever again.
