The Encounter

My feet hurt as I dragged them against the wet streets in downtown London. The smell of rain mixed with the fumes of the cars zooming by was filling my nostrils as I took in my surroundings. I had been walking the same streets since late last year. Yes, I'm homeless if that's what you're wondering. Dirty and clad in what was pretty much somewhat wet rags stuck to my unwashed body underneath my rain jacket. The torn up backpack I carry everywhere was weighing down with mostly the tattered journals I've written in for the past year. The rain was beating down heavily on my back and made shivers run up my spine. Finally I had reached a well lit street where there were small cafes and restaurants surrounding the little plaza area. I had recognized this as my old stomping ground with my friends and ex boyfriend. Nandos still was the most popular next to the dinky café next to it. The rain was letting up so I took my rain jacket off to shake the water off of it. As I was doing this, I didn't realize that my feet carried me to the front of the restaurant. "I'm just saying I don't see why I have to be third whee-Shit" I had heard someone say when I bumped into them. I looked up and saw two guys, both extremely tall. One had bright, little mermaid red hair and the other had blonde. There was a girl about my height there as well who was also blonde. Both blondes had blue eyes and dimples, and he was holding her hand. That's all I was able to observe until two, heavy and strong arms grabbed my shoulders and lifted me up effortlessly.

"Hey!" I screeched. I started kicking and moving around abruptly to try and get the man to put me down. It didn't work to say the least. I was screeching still and I had been asking to be put down.

"Dave, chill man. Let her go," the red head said. "She bumped into us it's not a big deal I don't think she's a fan," he studied my irritated expression. "Dave," he said even more firmly. The blonde guy agreed with the red head and "Dave" let me go, apologizing.

"Fucking A, you have got to be kidding me," I dusted myself off, looking at all of the people surrounding me. "Can I go now?" I asked as the largely built Dave stood in front of me, blocking the sidewalk.

"You have to excuse their body guard here. He can be a little too over protective sometimes. Right Dave?" the blonde girl said, ignoring my question. "I'm Anna," she stuck her hand out. I looked at it for a brief second before extending mine out to shake it. I was utterly confused as to what was going on.

"Carrie. What are you guys famous or something? What's with Mr. Bulk here?" I asked as she let my hand go.

"They are. I'm not. Musicians," she pointed at them. Pointing at herself she said, "Normal person with a hyper-active attitude."

"Emphasis on the attitude," the red head added with a sarcastic tone.

"Oh bite me," she glared. "Excuse rude ass over here," she apologized on his behalf. He gave a chuckle and extended his hand.

"I'm Michael and this is Luke," the red head said whilst pointing to the other blonde.

"Nice to meet you," I gave a half smile. It was at this moment I became conscious of my appearance again. "Eh... Sorry for the whole drab and gross appearance. And for the smell if there's any, I might be used to it by now."

"Totally fine. We were just getting some food. Care to join us?" Anna asked. I felt uncomfortable and then stiffened.

"No no no, I wouldn't want to impose or anything. I was just getting back so-"

"Nonsense, you're not imposing. Our treat considering Dave over here made you a bit on edge. Plus your stomach is speaking for itself."

"Alright I guess?" I accepted finally, surrendering to my growling stomach.
