Forever and Eternity | Jikook

II: 1912

{Part IV of IV}

On the night of April 14, 1912, RMS Titanic was tragically met its darkest hour... The said ship had a collision; side scraping the starboard with the iceberg... Everyone is beyond worried for their lives, as they are in the middle of the ocean... Jimin is staying at Jungkook's cabin when they heard the commotion of the passengers... They heard about the news of Titanic hitting an iceberg and it's everyone is getting ready to evacuate... The doctor took his lover's hand as they tried to check on what's going on with the ship's deck...
People on all walk of life started worrying for their own safety, to the point that they pressure the crew to give them life vests...

"Listen to me, we have to evacuate the ship soon, Jimin... The crew are already preparing the life boats for the passengers, and I will be more than happy to save you first..." Jungkook held the smaller on his arms.

"No! I don't want to go... I wanna be with you..." Jimin replied. "I can't leave you here..."

"But you have to..." Jungkook smiled sadly. "I heard from the crew that they will prioritize noble people since they are much more important in the society than to save those poor ones... And although I wanted to be with you, I'm nowhere near a noble... I only have few cents in my pocket..."

"Then let me die with you..." Jimin is crying now. "I don't wanna go back to my old life, Kook... I don't wanna marry someone that I didn't know... I want you, just you..." He held the latter's hand and sobs. "Didn't you promise to be with me forever? Then come with me... Don't let me go..."

Jungkook look at his lover, wiping his tears away. "Then we need to survive... I'll try to sneak in before they lower the boats, maybe we can help poor people too... We won't die here, Min... We will grow older, with our kids and grandkids... That's what we planned right?"

Jimin nods, tears still rolling down his cheeks. "Yes yes... That's what I really want..."

The taller embrace him and kiss Jimin hard, like it will be the last... Then he proceed in searching for any lifeboat that can take both of them without asking his status... He is grateful that they saw one, with only women and children on it... Jungkook told them that he is a doctor, and he can help this people in exchange for his and his husband's safety... The crew contemplate at first, yet he agreed nonetheless... He is a kind man who boards poor people together with other noble blood... Jimin took a child who lost sight of his mom due to the commotion of everyone who wanted to be save too... So Jungkook offer his blazer to the child as their life boat slowly going down from the sinking ship... Jungkook embrace his lover, silently crying as they watch the Titanic from afar... A lot of people are crying for help, and the young doctor even  wanted to dive back and save more, but Jimin stopped him... Maybe it's for their safety too, or rather his own...

"I can't afford to lose you Kook... Not now that we survived such tragedy... I know I'm being selfish, but I can't let you go back there to save people... The water is freezing that even if you're a good swimmer, you will definitely freeze to death... So stop... Please... For me..." Jimin whisper-yelled.

Jungkook only nod his head and embrace his lover again, so tired and cold to fight back... He loves Jimin so much that he won't let him cry because of him... The couple silently prayed for someone to save them; maybe take them to New York to start over... Jimin didn't know if his mother survived the shipwreck, but if she does, then he didn't care...

After four long hours of waiting, everyone was rescued by the RMS Carpathia... Everyone is beyond relieved after being saved in the middle of the ocean... People were crying at the lost of their love ones, but Jimin is thankful that Jungkook is there with him... They never told anyone about his real name, as the smaller decided to use Jeon Jimin as his new identity, leaving the old one on the depths of the ocean...

"Are you sure you wanna marry me?" Jungkook asked once they reached their destination.

Jimin held his hand and smile. "I do... And I wouldn't choose anyone else to be with apart from you..."

Jungkook kiss his soon to be husband's forehead, mentally praying for better days together....
