[Veronica Faith’s POV]
“sweetie, I know that this news will add some fire on you but we need to tell you this” my mother’s voice is shaky
“Do you still remember your playmate when you are still a kid? I guess you are just 5 when both of you met” my dad’s voice is calm
I’m not responding to them. I’m just pretending that I am listening to music with my earphones on but the truth is there is no music playing. I just don’t want to talk to them because of what they have said
[A/N: If you still remember on the last chapter, Faith has been told by her parents that they are spending their Christmas Eve with their business partners. Faith doesn’t like it because she just want to spend that day with just her mom and dad]
“I know that you still remember him. You are living with the same house for almost 7 years. Right?” my dad added
“Yeah, I can still remember him. Its Champ, right?” I finally answer them back because I’m curious about my childhood friend.
He was my best friend since I was 5 years old. He stayed at our house for almost 7 years. He was my best buddy since we met. When I was 12 I can totally say that I have a crush on him because he is so cute. His parents are my family friend and business partner.
“Well, you will meet him soon. After 7 years, dear, you will meet him again” my mom’s tone of voice is excited
“Just tell me when. I want to be alone. You can go now” I answer back coldly
“But the thing is we have this arrangement with his parents when you are still a kid” mom said
“I’m not a kid anymore, mom!”
