[Veronica faith’s POV]

“Where have you been?!!” my mother is sitting at the sofa when I enter my room. I went to the amusement park and let myself to think and reflect.

 

“Mom, I’m tired. I want to sleep” I walk straight to my closet and change my clothes

I sit on my bed and hug my stuffed toy, Channie. “Mom, can we talk tomorrow? I’m so tired”

 

“No, where have you been?! Are you seeing someone?”

I think this is it. I will tell her about my relationship with Chayeol. We stare at each other’s face with a serious face “Yes! I am seeing someone. Happy now? and for the record I already have a boyfriend and I don’t think that you can stop me. MOM”

 

“You know that you will be married to my friend’s son!! How can you date someone! Are you out of your mind? When did you learn to disobey your parents?!”

 

“I am the one who must ask you that! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! Mom! I’ve been good daughter to you. Please, just let me decide in this situation. How come you can’t understand me?”

“You really do change! How dare you to talk to me like that! You are not like that!” she is waving her hands at me

 

“That’s because I’m so sick and tired of you! No! I am sick and tired of your sick arrangement mom! I’m so sorry that I am talking to you like this. I am old enough to decide for myself! I am starting to think that this is the reason why you let me join into your trip!” I look away to her

 

“Are you really sure that you will convince me to change my arrangement just because you are old enough?!” she grab my shoulder so that she can see my face

“No mom! That’s not my point! I just want you to understand my feelings! I love him, mom! How come you can’t understand that!?!” I rub my forehead with annoyance

“I understand you, dear. I just want you to have a good life. I don’t want you to me married with someone that doesn’t have a stable job. I am sure if you will marry Mr. Hansol’s son you will not worry about your future” my mother’s voice is calm now

 

“So that is the reason! I understand now. It’s all about money huh? I don’t want money! I can earn that with my own hands. Stop manipulating me. I can handle myself!!”  I am shouting now
