SAME OLD FEELINGS

It felt like a serious case of Deja Vu standing in the center of the kitchen watching my grandma and our chef whip up fantastic meals for lunch,  I asked if I could help and grandma sternly shook her head and flashed me a smile saying I should sit and give them few minutes which was why I was sitting on the kitchen counter sipping on orange juice, texting and scrolling through social media until the perfect silence was abruptly cut off with a loud piercing sound of someone's scream and feet's scrambling on the floors as the culprits get to the kitchen and I immediately lose balance from the stool
I'm all sprawled out on the cold tiles with body weight pressed on me
"Can't breathe" I squeezed out of my lips
"Mia get off her before you kill her please, "a deep familiar voice says before I realize that voice belonged to Hunter my cousin.
"I'm sorry, I just got so excited I couldn't wait to see her" Mia chuckles getting off me and pulling me up alongside her and that's when I see all four of them.

My cousins Mia, Zoe, and Hunter looked different from when I saw them and they sure grew alright,  Mia's rosy skin and her back-length chestnut brown hair completed her beautiful grey monolid eyes and she isn't that cute six-year-old I remembered,  Zoe had cut her long her and now had a pixie cut with her lovely blue eyes sparkling making her slightly tanned skin give her a lovely Latino look but most of all hunter was tall at least a good 6'3 with his striking blue eyes and his jet black curly hair
"Hey, guy's!" I gushed grinning widely pulling them in for tight hugs and turning to the only person that I was slightly nervous to meet...."Leroy" muttering and slightly squirming away from his piercing chocolate brown eyes causing a smirk to tug at his lips, before uttering another word he walks over to me in long strides pulling me against his rock hard chest even with my perfect height he still was able to make me look tiny with his intimidating 6'4 height, his scent was familiar with his cologne filling my nostrils pulling away he grinned at me
"hey sky, I must say you look different" causing a blush to creep up my cheeks
"

thanks, you look good too" turning away to watch in awe as my cousins are busy ravishing my grandma's dishes.

I was currently standing at the wide window admiringly staring at the gorgeous view from my room when a knock interrupts my train of thought,  mumbling a quick come-in, I turn my attention back as the hairs on my back stood on its end in acknowledgment of the person who was standing behind me "do you need anything, Leroy?" I said under my breath "I came to see you, it's been a while don't you think" his voice was deep and husky replied and I could feel his eyes boring through the back of my head  "Almost everything seems different even you" I let out a cold breath from my lips " I haven't changed that much sky, I'm still the same person you've always known but you, on the other hand, changed pretty much" he replied standing beside me looking straight and I take that time to look at him. The pools of chocolate swirls of different shades make his eyes breathtaking alongside his jawline and defined cheekbones, the dimples on his both cheeks still popped whenever he spoke, realizing that I was staring way too long to be normal I immediately look away fiddling with the bracelet on my wrist "would you like to go grab a drink with me for a little while?.... I could even give a tour all over again beside you haven't been here in a while" he spoke saving me from the embarrassment
"Sure I'll be down in five minutes" I flashed him a smile which he gladly returned as he left but not before he pulled me into another surprise hug and I swear I heard him take a sniff of my hair and neck.

Mute couldn't explain how I felt with my flushed cheeks and my eyes as wide as saucers. I felt sick because even though I was extremely shy I wasn't easily flustered but one look into his eyes and my brain shortcircuits.

"It was just the thrill of being home after a while, you haven't seen anyone in years and Leroy was one of your best friends you're still adjusting sky"

I repeated it over and over in my head as I splash water on my face to cool off my flushed cheeks and apply lipgloss satisfied with my appearance I grab my phone off the large study desk and head downstairs.
