Georgia's pov
Peter really hurt me when he did everything. First on our wedding night. I was trying to make a romantic night and he was in such a hurry that he forced me. Then the second time we did it he was gentle and very wonderful. After that he became abusive during sex. I never told anyone else. Honey knew something was wrong, but never guessed.
I tried to reassure myself that he'd be gentle again. Never happened. I tried to talk to him a bunch of times, but chickened out every time. He would pretend to be a sweet husband and then when we were alone he'd get mean and domineering. Scared me so bad.
I'm glad he's gone! I mean, yeah I wanted my marriage to work with Peter and all. I just knew he wasn't right in the head after we got here. I started to hate him. I'm awful to feel this way, but I honestly hope he's killed. Sorry not sorry.
Am I evil to think this? Anyway time to get up and get breakfast going for the children. Marco's coming for lunch today and I am excited the baby's toddling and is going to be 1 tomorrow. He is my mirror image and I named him George. Marco's been helping me so much that I finally gave him a chance.
Okay I can't lie to myself I really like him. Maybe love him. At least it feels wonderful to be around him. He finally kissed me too. Wow talk about fireworks. Lunch with my children is chaotic, but wonderful. The children already call Marco dad. I don't know why, but they love him. also they trust him. My oldest two are 11 now. Petey and Marco are two peas in a pod. Always finishing each other's sentences too. I feel so blessed that my children are so good.
Yes I can say that I'm finally happy. As we all eat our breakfast I'm surprised because I made waffles. Didn't even remember cooking, I was thinking so hard. Good thing I didn't ruin them. I made raspberry jam last fall so we have plenty of it. Canning has become a necessity for our survival.

Seven months later and I'm planning my wedding to Marco. He asked me 3 months ago and I said yes. I can't believe that it's been so quiet lately.

Gavin's POV.....Georgia and Marco are getting married today. I'm so happy for her. He's getting a wonderful woman. I was out scouting and noticed that one of our areas are starting to get bare so will need to go further out. Also someone or something tried to climb our fence last week. So we dug deeper into the ground outside the fence yesterday and put stakes all over the bottom of it. To discourage anyone or anything else from trying.
We all are waiting for the wedding to start and are excited. Honey is the matron of honor and Donny is the best man. Honey looks so good in her gown. Can't wait to get it off her later. Mmmm.... Okay mind out of the gutter.
Marco just got to the alter and the wedding party is starting to come down the isle. Finally the bride is starting her way to her groom. Her step dad is walking her down the isle.
An hour later we're all having a great time at the reception and wishing the couple well. Honey is flirting with me and I'm not sure if I can wait to get her home. Yeah I want her more than I did on our wedding night.
Marco is getting ready to take Georgia home and he is getting the children ready to go home with their grandparents. He keeps smiling and looks so happy. Georgia looks happy and nervous too.
We all rush out and wish them a goodnight and pleasure tenfold. Honey and I head home with our children. We tuck them in to bed. I'm so excited to get Honey to bed.

A week later and we are getting ready to head south to Maine. We are going with a military group to look for survivors and more stuff that's necessary for survival. We are now over 5000 survivors here. We have gotten so huge and everyone is taught to shoot bows and guns. They're taught how to use knives too.
Honey wants to go, she's wanting to find more equipment for the hospital. She's a great doctor and she will be a great teacher. She's starting a course for new doctors so there's training continuously. I'm so proud of my beautiful wife.
There's always people who are on guard duty. That we know that there is a very slim chance of a sneak attack. We are vigilant. Only a few of us are not completely trained for combative fighting and those are the surgeons and nurses.
We are ready to go and are waiting for the military escort to get here.

As the party heads south it seems as if they're not going to come home anytime soon. Boston is a long way off now. Gas is getting hard to find. Farms with gas storage are getting used up as well as going bad..........
Author's note
Well I'm sorry it's short but it's going to get really dicey for our friends. Is Peter's group the only conscious zombies? Is Georgia still going to be alive? What do you think will happen next?
