A brat is someone (in most cases a submissive) who likes to misbehave/disobey their dom. They enjoy to talk back on their dominant and be "naughty". A brat's goal is not necessary to get what they want. More so they want to test their dom's temper and eventually want to get forced into submission.
The counterpart to a brat is the so-called brat tamer. They are exactly as it says: try to "tame" their misbehaving sub (the brat). They see this kind of disobedience as a playful thing rather than rude behaviour. All playfulness aside, a brat tamer will of course teach their brat a lesson and force them into submitting to them.
Conclusion:
Brats and brat tamers enjoy playful resistance and being forced into submission, respectively forcing the other party into submission.
