My life so far

Its been 10  years since the incident at nightfall. I've been part of the Black dawn pack ever since,
It's hard to believe how much time has past and yet here I am thriving,
I currently work for Alpha lark and Luna Zoey at their import and export business in the human city as their personal secretary and human lycanthrop diplomat.
at 28 I was just enjoying life, I live at the wolf only highrise in the city it's a much closer commute then living at the pack house on pack grounds.

also since leaving Luna Zoey had shown me how to take care of my hair and skin and I definitely had grown into myself, my dull brown hair had become solf and wavy and my skin was flawless.
even though I was about to be 29 in November I didn't look a day over 22 which I found to be off but Luna said to take it as a blessing.

 
I was sitting at my desk in the corner of Alpha Larks office typing away at something on my laptop when I heard a slight noise coming from outside Alpha Larks window.
I looked over and saw a beautiful dark blue sky with white fluffy clouds drifting lazily on the warm spring breeze.
My eyes shifted over to the alpha he had on headphones and his hands were tapping a beat on the table as he listened to whatever song was playing on his earphones he was also dressed casually.
I smiled thinking about how he would smile as he listened to music when it reminded him of his mate and how beautiful she was.
"hey alpha lark" I called out interrupting him from his trance.

He snapped his head towards me quickly as if he hadn't noticed I was there and pulled off his headphones "hmm? yeah"
"I think you should go home tonight Alpha lark its getting late"
"ugh I guess your right kid can you get home okay? do you want me to send a car when you're finished?" alpha lark was always so protective of me it was nice.
"no I should be okay I've gotta pick something up for the boys anyway" 
"alright well see you tomorrow kid"
"yes sir"
I watched as he got up and headed out the door.

After finishing the rest of my paperwork and checking in at the front desk I headed to the elevator that led to the ground level.

when I got down to the ground level I grimaced it was raining, goddess I hate the rain and I still have to stop and get that bag of food for the boys ugh well fuck me right?
I needed an umbrella maybe Duncan at reception has one, Duncan was pack and very sweet he was interning for us for the summer before he starts college in the fall.
"hey Dunkin donuts do you maybe have an extra umbrella back there??"
I asked him turning to face him.

he looked up at me and gave me his usual sunshine grin "oh sure thing just give me a sec" I leaned against the wall waiting patiently for him to finish looking under the desk "here is your umbrella alpha lark left it for you " he handed me the large umbrella.
"of course he did thanks dunk I'll see you tomorrow morning"I gave him a smile and walked out into the dark rainy sidewalk.

the pet store was just one block over but in the rain with heels on it was making the Walk pretty difficult I should have just let the alpha send a car.
by the time I made it to the pet store the rain had picked up and I was soaked.

"hey Sam I got your order up here at the front" called a woman from one of the check out lines.
"thank you so much I'm so sad you guys don't stock this brand anymore" we spoke a bit and I hefted the 80lbs bag up on my shoulder and began my walk to my apartment the whole time thinking about putting the boys on a diet this damn bag was huge and it hurt to carry.

I finally reached my apartment and walked inside I dumped the bag in the hallway and kicked my shoes off throwing the purse and keys on top of the bag and walked into the kitchen.
I opened the fridge looking at the shelves filled full of things for the boys.
god I think they had more food than I did.
"BOYS! IM HOME!!" I shouted from the kitchen and the ground start to shake as my six pure bred dire wolves ran from the living room to the kitchen to takle me to the ground.
"HEY!! CHILL YOU'RE GOING TO CRUSH ME YOU GIANT MONSTERS!!!!!!" but it was too late I was covered in giant slobbering kisses,I couldn't hold in the giggles puppy kisses were the best.
"OKAY STOP!!! GIVE ME A BREAK I NEED TO CHANGE YOU GUYS!!" I screamed trying to push the wolfs away but they wouldn't budge.
"Okay boys I get it I'll get the bowls I know so hungry " I was never stern enough with them so they just walk all over me but I didn't mind honestly they kept me safe and I give them love and food.

I retrived there bowls from the dish washer and carried them to the living room they had a special spot the was just for them they weighed at least 180lbs a piece they were a gift from the alpha king for some work I did for his Luna the queen.
"okay boys line up" the all sat in a row waiting wagging there fluffy tails
"fang?" fang walked over and started very messily eating.
"claw?" he was a gentleman and ate carefully.
"bone?" bone laid down to eat he's weird but I loved him just the same
"blood?" his nose was already pressed into my hand he wanted pats before eating what a sweetheart.
"timber?" he was the smallest but still a very good boy.
"ghost?"  he would only eat next to me so I had to sit on the couch till he finished eating or he wouldn't eat at all but what's cool about ghost is while all my other wolves were gray and brown he was white with red eyes.
while waiting for ghost to finish I had fallen asleep and I was still in my wet clothes great now I'm gonna be sick I loved thinking the worst of situations.
I grabbed a shower and changed into my soft bunny full body pj's, I have zero energy to make anything to eat for dinner maybe I have leftovers I did have Chinese yesterday.
just as I was about to open my fridge to hunt for yesterday's carryout my door bell went off.
who the hell was ringing my door bell at 11:30 at night my boys ran snarling and barking to the door making me have to shove the giant slobbering boofs just to reach the door.
"who's there??"
"Sam open up" Luna?

the boys were still barking and growling as I went out open the door they knew better then to fuck with her and as soon as the door opened the all turned into mush as she squatted down to love on them except ghost who stayed glued to my side as always.
"geeze some much for guard dogs"giggled Luna as she got kisses from timber.

Luna was very tall with long corn silk blonde hair and a slim athletic figure with deep blue eyes like a storm on the ocean, but she was always wearing paint covered overalls she was so cute.
"oh my goodness Sammy your PJs are so cute hold still" squealed Luna as she pulled out her phone and snapped a picture.
"I'm putting this on the pack house bulletin board" she was way to excited.
I ran my hand down my face great this was my legacy.
"what can I do for you Luna??"
I wanted to get this over with so I could just find something to eat and pass out.

"well Sammy....." she was cut quickly when I sneezed loudly into my elbow.
"that why I'm here lark told me you walked home and knowing you and your luck a cold was on the way so I'm gonna make you some soup"
I felt really bad that she had to come all the way over here for me but I appreciate that she did.
"thanks Luna thank you so much"
"it's no big deal Sammy but first you're gonna tell me where the hell all your food is"
"uhhh..." fuck now I'm gonna get yelled at.
"ahhhhchoooo!!!"
"Sammy when will you start eating right??"
"I'm sorry I'm trying I just don't have time after work and when I do buy stuff to make it ends up going bad" I tried to defend myself.
"ugh it's fine I'll just ask someone to bring me something from the store"

we spent the night eating and watching the new game of thrones show house of the dragon.
I missed time with the Luna it was nice to just sit and spend time with another person.
I yawned and looked around the boys had all curled up around us on the couch ghost was in my lap timber in hers.
"so Sammy are you excited for the big full moon festival?" Luna asked
"huh? what festival?"I was confused I'd heard nothing about it. Luna squinted at me looking kind of annoyed,
"ughhh Sam when's the last time you were down to get your mail?" bam hit me where it hurt.
"honestly I don't know" I was gonna be in trouble.
"Samantha me and lark need you there your the daughter me never had you mean the world to us black Dawn is nothing without you"  she said softly as tears glistened in her dark grey grey eyes.
"you've been gone for 3 years now Sam it's not the same without you. we thought you would always live with us and we were pretty surprised when you moved into the city. we miss  you every day Sammy and if I'm honest with you my life would be so boring without you" now tears were running down her face but Luna never cried like ever.
"okay I'll be there and ready and I promise to visit once a week"
"that's all I want".
