the next day my simple sneeze had turned into full blown cold and I chose to stay home from work, but after a full night's rest and the homemade soup Luna Zoey made me I was back in the office within the week.

Friday I finally felt well enough to head in to the office but as I dressed and headed to the door to leave ghost walked in front of me and blocked my way trying to keep me from leaving.
"Ghost move or I'm gonna be late boy!" I tried moving him I tried scooting around him I even tried bringing him with a slice of ham before t nothing was working.
"buddy what's wrong I'm just going to the office"I wrapped my arms around his large body and gave him a hug to try to show him everything was alright but he just huffed and sat right at the door I was running out of ideas, "well if you're not going to move your gonna get me in trouble" that's when a thought popped into my head "Ghost do you wanna go with me"he perked right up and ran to get his collar and leash, it wasn't the first time ghost has been in the office when he was puppy he stayed under my desk he hated being left alone at home.

people avoided us as we walked down the street I mean I would too ghost was huge 180lbs of pure bred wolf and the red eyes didn't help his case.
we made it to the office in great time with 20mins to spare.
"hey Duncan good morning"I greeted the receptionist with a smile.
"did you miss me while I was gone??"I teased
"oh yes very much now get upstairs because alpha lark just called an emergency meeting 5 minutes ago" my eyes grew wide alpha would forgive a lot but missing a meeting was not one of them and I did not want to have to to stay late in the filing room, me and ghost took the stairs because the elevator would take way too long.

we made it to the 6th floor but I was out of breath a sweating ghost looked like he had just had the best game of chase ever.

looking over I saw everyone sitting in the alphas glass window office and I mean everyone Luna Zoey was even there perched on his lap .
I was gonna have to quietly sneak in somehow.
walking to the door I knew I fucked up because ghost was his best buddy and bolted from my grasp right into the room chaos ensued screaming and jumping out of the way as ghost flew through the air over the oval table right into alpha lark and Luna Zoey knocking them both to the ground.
"SAMANTHA!!!!!!" that was beta mark yelling
"WHY IS THIS DOG HERE?!!!!" Mark continued yelling as he marched out the door towards me.

"wait wait please let me explain I'm sorry Alpha lark" I yelled over beta, because he has pick me up off the ground like a child and thrown me over his shoulder but before i could say anymore lark was already up on his feet holding onto Ghost laughing hysterically.
"good morning buddy it's good to see you too" thank Goddess alpha lark loved my boy to death.
we all resituated ourselves mark put me down finally I had to remind the meat head he was still holding me and he muttered something about me being so small he forgot he was holding me, as I sat down I looked over and Luna Zoey was glaring at me as ghost took her spot on alphas lap,

"okay everyone as you know next weekend is the full moon festival and this year black Dawn will be hosting on our territory, it will be good for us as the second largest pack we need to build alliance's with our neighbors and this is the perfect way, many packs will be in attendance including our allies silver Moon and moon fairy plus the alpha king and Luna, so we need this to go perfectly so I need some ideas that wolves and our wolfless pack members will all enjoy" lark told the group with huge smile on his face.

many packs members had idea but so far alpha could not decide and I was just zoning in and out of the conversation.
"Sam what about you have any ideas??"
ughhh why ask me? "ummm I don't really know to be honest alpha"
"well what do humans do for festivals?"alpha questioned he loves making me use my brain,
"well sometimes we have carnivals or fun fairs"
I replied.

"great I love it let's do that, Sam your in charge of the food and games and me and Zoey will handle everything else" I felt every wolf in that rooms eyes on me I know they wanted alphas favor very badly every time he does this he puts a big target on my back.

the rest of my work day went fine ghost slept under my desk and alpha and Luna told me it probably be a good idea to keep him with me at work, due to the strange wolves that would be here for the festivities they wanted to keep me safe.

"Sam before you leave can you add the my schedule that me and moon fairy and silver Moon have a meeting with the alpha king Tomorrow at 9:30am?"alpha lark said as he headed to the elevator to leave for the day.
I marked it on his calendar and continued to work on filing away this week's invoices, I ended up having to stay late for fucking up the meeting. So not cool.
