I had hacked into Will's employee system that morning.

I thought it would be good to know when (Y/N) was on shift.

To my surprise, she finished at 8 pm that day.

Perfect.

I also found myself looking into Will.

- 34-years-old
- Opened the bar 3 years ago
- Single
- No kids
- Father high up in the GCPD
- Mother a lawyer

My search also found that he'd been arrested a couple years back for dealing drops in The 44 Below, though his dad had done a decent job at getting him off and erasing any trace of the charge off of the GCPD database. Not good enough though.

So he's corrupt and a creep, Edward.

I decided I would head to the bar around 6. A good time to not ring any alarm bells, I thought.

I opened the front door to be met by (Y/N) and her co-worker, Tom.

Her face seemed to light up when she realised it was me. Tom, on the other hand, didn't look too impressed, but I was too hyped up on the events of the previous night to care.

"Eddie! Hi". She shouted over to me.

She looked beautiful. Her auburn hair sat gently against her shoulders. Her eyes were painted a sparkly green colour.

It's like she knows it's your favourite colour, Edward.

"Hi, (Y/N). How are you?" I sat in my usual spot, but I was feeling something unusual. Confident.

"I'm good, thank you. How are you? You seem... happy".

So happy... even happier now I was looking at her, though.

"Oh, I don't know... must have woken up on the right side of the bed this morning". I giggled.

"I guess so... so, what can I get for you? The usual?"

She knows you so well, Edward.

"Yes... please". I felt the blood rush to my cheeks. There it goes.

She wondered off and retuned with my beer.

"So... how come I missed you here last night?" She asked.

Play it cool, Edward.

"Oh... I... had a lot of work to catch up on". I stuttered.

Shit.

"Oh... that's a shame. Hopefully you've caught up now? Anyway... you missed such a sight... all of us dressed up. I was a nurse, believe it or not. Not exactly my go-to get-up". She laughed.

And you looked stunning.

"Well... I'm... sure you looked... lovely".

Real cool, Edward.

"Thank you, Eddie. It paid off, I guess, considering all the tips I got". She laughed again.

I'm sure you did, the men in this city are disgusting dogs.

"I'll leave you to your puzzles". She smiled at me before walking off to speak to Tom.

Tom had been staring me down the entire time (Y/N) and I spoke. His eyes like lasers on the back of her head.

I couldn't exactly hear what they were saying, but Tom looked angry. They seemed to be arguing about something.

I continued to drink my beer and fill out my puzzles for the remaining two hours of her shift.
