Vance's Confession

He took the pillow away from you taking your hands into his.

"You don't have to feel bad or awkward because.."

'How the fuck am I gonna put this. Just say it? Fuck it I'll go with it'

"I like you too."

Your eyes widened in disbelief. You just couldn't believe it.

"Yes. Me. Vance Hopper has a crush on his best friend Y/N Blake. I'm good with hiding things Y/N. My feelings, especially when it comes to someone I am absolutely in love with, I hide it very well. I'm gonna bet right now you're gonna say you had no clue."

You were still in disbelief but agreed with his statement. You were going to say you had no clue.

"I-I just can't believe you actually like me. I mean, that's just hard to believe. I could've always sworn you liked that one girl from your English class."

"Yeah. No. She's cool and all, but not as cool and laid back or.. cute as you are."

You smiled at his words, your face still red.

"You alright over there?"

"Yeah, I'm good. I'm just still trying to process it."

"Take your time. I can tell you're about to literally explode."

You got up and paced around the room. You really wanted to scream and jump around like a little kid when they get a toy they wanted for their birthday. Though, you kept yourself calm and collected.

'This is so hard to believe. How did it actually work out? How the fuck? I mean, I see this all of the time but I never thought I would have a chance'

When you were done, you sat back down on the bed.

"You good now?"

"Mhm."

While you were pacing around, Vance took his time to think about something he's always wanted to do. So, once you sat down, he finally did. He cupped your face in his hands and kissed you. You were shocked at first but you melted into the kiss kissing him back. It lasted for a good 10 seconds before you both pulled away.

"Holy shit."

"Holy shit what?"

"I- never mind."

"No, go ahead. I'm curious."

"God, I hate you."

"You know you love me."

"Shut up."

You then went straight to hide your face again. Though, it didn't last long since Vance took it away again.

"Were you going to say that I was a good kisser or somewhere along those lines?"

"Mhm."

He smiled knowing you were thinking it. He then pulled you into a hug.

"Just know you're special because there's no way in hell I would ever do this for anyone else."

You did feel special though. Everyone is afraid of Vance because he's good with fighting and would do anything to you during a fight. Everyone always sees him as heartless. Though, you four never thought of him like that. You, Robin, Finn and Gwen were the only ones that got to see him when he's not in fight mode. Though you saw it the most since you guys had been friends since you both were like 4 years old. You never saw him as a monster or a heartless person because you knew his good, soft side.

"You know, I've felt very special ever since we first met. I remember you hated making friends but somehow I was the lucky one that broke you and we became friends."

"You're just different from everyone else."

You smiled knowing it was a good different. You guys then pulled away from the hug kissing one more time.

"Okay, I'm gonna go down and get some snacks because I feel like pulling an all nighter tonight. What do you say?"

"I will gladly join you."

"Okay I'll be right back."

He then left the room. He went downstairs. Though, he wasn't just getting snacks. He was also going to call Finn again and tell him that everything worked out.

"Hey. What's up?"

"Hey Finney. So, you'll never guess what happened."

"Uh, probably not. What happened?"

"Well, you know how you said Y/N was crushing on me?"

"...yeah. Why?"

"Well, we're dating now."

There was silence for a moment.

"You like my sister!? Since when?"

Vance couldn't help but laugh.

"I've liked your sister ever since.. probably ever since last year."

"And you never said anything?"

"Finney, I'm Vance Hopper. The kid who is 'heartless' and 'reckless' and has no feelings. Of course I'm not gonna say anything. Plus, everything turned out great. It was going to be a surprise if she liked me back. Which, of course, she does. She didn't even know herself. I'm good with hiding my emotions Blake. Get that in your head."

"I- sorry. Jeez. But congratulations."

"Thanks Finn. Don't tell Gwen or Robin yet. It's a little plan I have in mind to surprise them so don't ruin it."

"Okay, I wont."

"Alright. Talk to you later Finn. Bye."

"Bye."

Vance then hung up the phone. He then grabbed some snacks for you guys and headed back up.

"Okay, this should do."

He walked in and plopped them on the bed.

"Yeah. I agree."

You then took a bag of chips that was in the pile and began to eat them.

"Hungry already?"

"These are my favorite. Leave me alone."

You both laughed as he joined you on the bed taking a chip himself.

"Yeah. These are pretty good."

"Told you."

You guys then spent a few hours goofing around with pillow fights and talking about all of these funny memories from a while back when the five of you became a friend group.

~time skip to 3 am~

"I swear finn was so scared of me."

"He really was though. He just didn't want to get beat up."

"I don't blame the kid."

"Hey, what time is it?"

He looked at his clock that he had on his wall.

"It's like 3 in the morning. Why?"

You slightly yawned.

"I'm tired. That's why."

"Really? At 3 in the morning? I could do this all night."

"Well, I could too but we did a lot today."

"True. So, you just wanna call it a night?"

"Yes please."

You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you laid back on his bed getting comfy as he pushed the rest of the snacks you guys had left off of the bed. He climbed into bed next to you cuddling you.

"Thanks for an awesome day. I had a lot of fun."

"Yeah. No problem."

You two shared one last kiss before going to bed.
