Vance's Confession

He took the pillow away from you, taking your hands into his.

Vance: "You don't have to feel bad or awkward because.."

'How the fuck am I gonna put this. Just say it? Fuck it, I'll go with it'

Vance: "I like you too."

Your eyes widened in disbelief. You just couldn't believe it. The Vance Hopper, your best friend, the tough guy who only ever showed little emotion, liked you back? It was almost unbelievable. But there were the words, coming right out of his mouth.

Vance: "Yes. Me. Vance Hopper has a crush on his best friend, Y/N Blake. I'm good with hiding things, Y/N. My feelings, especially when it comes to someone I am absolutely in love with. I hide it very well. I'm gonna bet right now you're gonna say you had no clue."

You were still in disbelief but agreed with his statement. You were going to say you had no clue.

Y/N: "I-I just can't believe you like me. I mean, that's just hard to believe. I could've always sworn you liked that one girl from your English class."

Vance: "Yeah, no. She's cool and all, but not as cool and laid back or... cute as you are."

You smiled at his words, your face deepening to a light shade of red now. Vance, seeing this, was very amused and decided to rub it in a little bit.

Vance: "You alright over there?"

Y/N: "Yeah, I'm good. I'm just still trying to process it."

Vance: "Take your time. I can tell you're about to explode."

You got up and paced around the room. You wanted to scream and jump around like a little kid when they got a toy they wanted for their birthday. However, you kept yourself calm and collected.

'This is so hard to believe. How did it work out? How the fuck? I mean, I see this all of the time but I never thought I would have a chance'

When you were done, you sat back down on the bed.

Vance: "You good now?"

Y/N: "Mhm."

While you were pacing around, Vance took his time to think about something he'd always wanted to do. So, once you sat down, he finally did. He cupped your face in his hands and kissed you. You were shocked at first but you melted into the kiss, kissing him back. It lasted for a good 10 seconds before you both pulled away.

Y/N: "Holy shit."

Vance: "Holy shit what?"

Y/N: "I- never mind."

Vance: "No, go ahead. I'm curious."

Y/N: "God, I hate you."

Vance: "You know you love me."

Y/N: "Shut up."

You then went straight to hide your face in the pillow again. Though, it didn't last long since Vance took it away.

Vance: "Were you going to say that I was a good kisser or somewhere along those lines?"

Y/N: "Mhm."

He smiled, knowing you were thinking it. He then pulled you into a hug.

Vance: "Just know you're special because there's no way in hell I would ever do this for anyone else."

You did feel special though. Everyone is afraid of Vance because he's good with fighting and would do anything to you during a fight. Everyone always sees him as heartless. Though, you four never thought of him like that. You, Robin, Finn, and Gwen were the only ones who got to see him when he was not in fight mode. Though, you saw it the most since you guys had been friends since you both were like 4 years old. You never saw him as a monster or a heartless person because you knew his good, soft side.
