The Surprise!

~time skip to the afternoon~

You woke up around noon. You yawned as you rubbed your eyes. You looked over to see that Vance was gone. You had just assumed he was downstairs so that's where you went first. You headed down and sure enough, found him in the kitchen with his parents.

Vance: "You're finally awake."

Y/N: "Mhm. How long have you been up?"

Vance: "Probably since 10."

Y/N: "And you didn't wake me up?"

Vance: "I wanted to let you sleep."

Y/N: "Fair enough."

You joined them at the dining table. Then, that's when the big conversation struck up.

Vance's mom: "Y/N, sweetie. I just want to say congratulations."

Y/N: "For what exactly?"

Vance's mom: "For you finally dating Vance, of course! I always knew you were meant for him. I knew one day it would happen. I could always tell by how happy you were around him. It wasn't that hard to spot, to be honest."

You just froze for a second. Your face started to turn pink once more.

Y/N: "Yeah. Uh, thanks."

You gave a polite smile as you side-eyed Vance.

Vance's dad: "You know, she has a point. Your mother would always tell me these theories she had about you two because she just couldn't let it rest."

Vance's mom; "I apologize for that, but I couldn't help myself. I mean, they're so cute together. How could you not imagine what it would be like if they dated?"

Vance's dad: "You just love the teen drama is all."

Vance's mom: "Most likely."

Then, Vance finally stepped in.

Vance: "Okay! I think we're good here. Thank you Mom for your share."

She nodded as she then went back to read the newspaper that was on the table. His dad had one himself to keep him occupied. Vance took that chance to take you into the other room.

Vance: "Alright. Today is the day that we tell Gwen and Robin."

Y/N: "I forgot they didn't even know."

Vance: "Oh, just so you know, I told Finn last night too."

Y/N: "You're kidding."

Vance: "Nope."

Y/N: "Alright, well that's one off of the list. How do you wanna do this, exactly?"

Vance: "I've been planning this ever since last night. So, we're all just gonna hang out and do our normal thing. Then, out of nowhere, like in the middle of a conversation, I was thinking of just kissing you."

You started laughing thinking about the reactions Gwen and Robin would have. It was quite funny to imagine in your head.

Y/N: "I'm in for it."

Vance: "Alright. Go make the calls. I got to go get ready."

Y/N: "Okay."

You then walked to the phone that was just right behind you while Vance headed upstairs to do what he needed to do. You first called Susie's house.

Susie: "Hello?"

Y/N: "Hey. Is Gwen still there?"

Susie: "Yeah, she is."
