LISA'S POV

I was beyond upset by my father's intentions this evening. He has made me feel that my happiness is not important. And that broke my heart.

Fuming as I storm towards my father's study, I tried thinking how I could convince him. I'd do anything for Jennie.

Without knocking, I swung the doors of the study open, shocking my father.

"What was tonight about really?" I spat.

"You're not behaving like my daughter." He shouted

I snickered, "And you're not behaving like my father."

A staring game began.

After calming down a little, I spoke up, "father. I'm sorry for my behavior this evening. But there's no one else for me besides Jennie. And I only want her. Give her a chance, get to know her."

He remained silent.

"You always trusted me to pursue my dreams. Jennie is mine. I'm serious about this woman. It's not just a crush or something I'm acting on impulse. I'd choose Jennie, today, tomorrow and for everyday that I'm breathing. I choose Jennie."

I could see my father soften.

"If you are going to be so stubborn and claim you love her, fine. You know our ultimate drill." I nodded. And now it's double the punishment. "Lucas, the princess is going to kneel at the center of the courtyard, in this thunderstorm until dawn. No one is to shelter her or kneel on her behalf or with her." My father knew many would volunteer to take my place.

"Your Majesty-" Lucas tried to help.

"Are you going to go against my order?" My father stopped him from finishing.

Lucas just bowed and followed me out.

"Your Highness. I'm sorry." I had no idea why he was apologizing.

"You did not do anything wrong Lucas. You don't have to apologize. Thank you for trying to speak up for me. But you've been my father's side for a long time. You never see him withdraw his words." I gave him a small smile.

"Lucas, do me a favor. Inform Rose. She will know what to do." I'm hoping Rose would update Jennie that I won't be able to call her tonight, but leave this punishment out.

The palace was still buzzing from the aftermath of the ball. Staffs were cleaning and clearing the compound. I didn't care about being humiliated. My heart was set on Jennie.

I walked out into the rain with many of the staffs calling out after me but Lucas stopped them, explaining it was the king's order. Reaching the center of the courtyard, I turned to face the side where my father's study overlooked and I knelt down.

Everyone gasped in shock. I could see my father looking down at me. But I continued to look straight, focusing my mind on Jennie.

An hour later I saw Rose running towards the courtyard stopping at the shelter. She nodded, knowing what she had to do.

ROSE'S POV

God damnit!

To Jennie: Jennie, Lisa won't be able to call you tonight. She has gone to confront her father about this evening.

After a minute.

To Jennie: I can't lie to you. Your girlfriend is crazy. And about to definitely fall sick.
