LISA'S POV

The week flew by quickly. Jennie and I were having dinner when she suddenly spoke.

"Lisa, may I take you out on a date tomorrow?" She played with her fingers, feeling nervous. "Of course!" She flashed her gummy smile. It's my favourite.

"I'll come by tomorrow at 11am. You've been here for 3 months and we haven't gone out. I can't believe it." Jennie said.

Without her knowing, I actually have been exploring the places nearby after my work. I have been looking for that last dwarf to complete Jennie's figurine set. But I still couldn't find it. There was a vintage store at the corner of the furtherest street which I have yet to check out because they were always closed by the time I arrived. I knew that the following week I'll end work earlier than usual so I could come by again. Madam Sarah wanted to reward us so for a week, we'll work half the day.

"What should I wear?" I asked.

"Whatever you feel comfortable in." Jennie answered.

I have never been on a date before. Well, not like this. The ones I've been set up to attend always involved high end restaurants and an entourage of security. This date with Jennie was one I genuinely am looking forward to.

The next morning, I started to get myself ready. I wore a simple white top with jeans. I didn't want to overdress.

*Knock knock*

"One moment please." I called out as I straighten my outfit.

"Hi!" I greet Jennie. She was outrightly eyeing me.

"You look beautiful." Jennie finally spoke.

"Thank you. You look lovely as well." I returned the compliment.

She held out a bouquet of baby's breath in front of me, "these are for you." She started to blush.

"They are beautiful Jennie! Thank you!" I carried the bouquet in and quickly placed them in a vase before meeting her at the door again.

"So where are you taking me?" I got curious.

"The amusement park." I started skipping around.

We arrived at the amusement park 30 minutes later. Jennie said she'd pay for everything for today. I felt bad somehow.

I was just in awe. I've never been to one before and here I am behaving like a kid.

We spent the entire day exploring every corner of the place, went on the rides and played the games. We had street food. It was such an amazing experience.

We arrived back at Jennie's place where we decided to whip up dinner. She was going to make pizza. It's been a long time since I had one.

After an hour we were both sat opposite each other digging in to our dinner.

"Lisa, what is it about me that you love?" Jennie asked.

I didn't have to think long, "You didn't judge me. You are patient, passionate, thoughtful. The list goes on. You make me happier than I've ever been. You make me want to be better."

I returned her the same question and she answered, "You are everything I never quite imagine. You are so humble and polite. You are one of the most powerful women here, yet you are so gentle and accepting of people. You make me happy, really happy."

"Jennie, be mine? Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.

"Yes." Jennie answered in a heartbeat.

"Can I ask you another question?" Jennie nodded. "Can I kiss you?" Jennie nodded again.

My heart was racing as I leaned in.

Oh my god.

Jennie had her eyes shut as I closed the gap between our lips.

I felt my heart burst. Everything I felt for her, I tried to convey in that kiss. My feelings for her is probably deeper than she actually knew.

"Your lips are so soft." Jennie spoke.

We spent the rest of the night talking. Sharing short kisses in between.

I can't remember the last time I felt this happy. But I had to return to the palace in 3 weeks. On top of that, I had to tell my parents about Jennie. I felt irresponsible for a moment. But I am certain that there's no one else for me but Jennie. I hope she doesn't give up on me, on us.
