"Abby!" I screeched through the phone.

"This better be good Adalyn. I was on a hunch." She replied in a hurry.

"Oh its good!" I swallowed. "Theres something alien like in my back yard." I waited for her response.

"What!" She sounded excited. "What does it look like?" I explained the object to her as cooly as i could get my jittery voice out.

"W..O..W." She slowly let out. "I'm coming over right now." She replied i heard her jump up and throw all her books down.

"Hang on!" I yelled. "You can't wake mom and dad."

"Duh, i know." She groaned.

Ugh teenagers. Act like they know it all.

Abby did hang up on me before she went into the house so i ran into the my fisrt floor apartment grabbed a frying and ran back outside ready to knock out whatever strange alien creator decides to come out of its little space ship, homing device thing. The blinking machine never moved it just continued to blink its green light.

Knock, knock. I jumped at the sudden sound. I felt my heart begin to race until i realized it was someone knocking at my front door. The aliens? I walked slowly through my apartment holding the frying pan like a baseball bat. I unlocked the door slowly and opened it even slower.

"Could you open the door any slowly?" A familiar voice asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Abby?"

"Uh yeah." She pushed the door open by herself pushing me out of the way as she ran past me she asked. "Whats the frying pan for?"

"You never know." I said more serious than i expected for it to come out.

She laughed opening my back door.

"Please be careful." I moaned in a dreaded voice.

"Wow! This is soooooo cool." She screeched walking right up to it like it didn't just fall out of the sky.

"Back up!" I yelled running out the back door.

"You need to calm down." She giggled going around the strange machine looking at each detail. "This is so fascinating." She smiled running her fingers against it then she knocked on the side like it was a door.

I bit my bottom lip. "Can you just stop." I whined. The more she stayed around it the more nervous i got. What if it came to life and killed us all, or aliens really did come out of it.

"Whats the worst it could do Adalyn?" Abby tilted her head at me waiting for a good answer.

"Uhh, kill us!" I threw my hands in the air and slapped my hands down onto my thighs.

"It doesn't look life like at all."

"And how do you know?"

"If you walk around it theres no hinges to a door it has a hollow knock on it and its cold to the touch like frost bite."

"And thats post to make me feel better?" I sighed. "Maybe we should call the police." I nodded my head to myself deciding that was what i was going to do.

"No!" Abby yelled running up to me taking my phone out of my back pocket.

"Hey!" I screeched trying to grab the phone but she backed away.

"We're not calling the police." Abby shook her head.

"And why not!" I snapped.

"What are the police gonna do except put caution tape up and kick you out of your apartment."
