He stared at me from behind his desk. Looking confused by my sudden out burst. It all was silent for several seconds. I didn't know wether i had hurt his feelings or made him think i was super stupid since he obviously thought i was from here.
"Yah sure you didn't hit your head?" He half smiled.
Would he think i was as crazy if i explained him my situation or would that make matters worse. How could i do more damage? "Look, i know you think i'm stupid but i'm not from here, i'm from earth a traveling space thing fell out of the sky into my apartments backyard and my sister hit a button to here and then here i am." I took a deep breath after explaining it in a fast tone.
He wrinkled his brow then he just let out the loudest laugh i have ever heard in my life.
"H A H A H A H A!" He leaned back in his chair laughing so hard that his face was turning red. "OH MY SIDE!" He laughed harder. "AND I THOUGHT I HAD HEARD EVERYTHING!" He just couldn't stop. No, He just WOULDN'T stop!
I just softly laughed awkwardly nodding my head.
"Oh gosh." He let out a sigh coming back down from his laughing high. He looked me back in the face. "Cupcake, you just made my day."
"I am serious about it all." I wrinkled my brow at him.
"Huh uh." He smiled. "Oooooh i get it now."
I tilted my head at him.
"This is a set up, an act, a test, oh and how you passed. Great job! I loved it! Perfecto!"
What? Was he suddenly drunk? Well that was the damage that could happen. I planted my face in my hand. "Could this day get any worse?" I mumbled to myself.
"I suppose that would be up to you." He said shrugging hearing what i had mumbled to myself. "But don't worry, I'll try to keep you out of the highest danger i can, i can't make any promises on no danger cause if i could do that i wouldn't of hired you, am i right?" He smiled and laughed a little.
"I don't work for you!" I widened my eyes rolling them at the same time. Would he get the idea.
"Not yet." He winked. Which made my stomach churn strangely but at the same time I was annoyed by him.
Oh, my, go- I was going to scream! Interanlly and outwardly. He wasn't listening to me! Agh this is so irritating. He doesn't understand that I need to find my sister without all this other non-sense. What do you even say or do in a situiation like this?
"You know what, Jack." I smiled gritting my teeth at his name. "I'll find my sister on my own. Without your HELP!" I spun around on the balls of my feet facing the yellow door once again.
I heard a static behind me as i started walking down his steps back down to the yellow door. He was whispering so i only caught bits and pieces of his words.
"My- office- girl- bring- need- kay." Was the only words i could pick up from him which didn't make any since and i honestly didn't care. He wouldn't listen to me so why should I? I just shook my head standing in front of the door waiting for it to open. Dumb door.
"Open this door." I mumbled toward him.
"The buttons on the left." He answered.
"Oh." I whispered walking over to the button tapping it as it blinked a green light inside of it. I looked at my feet seeing my red fuzzy socks i had got from the dollar tree. I did need an outfit but that was for later on when I get out of his office. This exciting fast get away was going a lot slower than i had pictured in my head. When the door finally opened there were two men standing in front of the door dressed in grey metal armour like space suits only you couldn't see their faces. There were guns on their backs. I swallowed.
