She pushed me forward making me stumble. I looked back at her with a smug look.

She smirked then turned around her back facing me. She shook her hips in a sassy way.

I rolled my eyes looking away. Ugh. I turned back around looking to where Lilith had pushed me. I sighed looking down at my boots. As i started taking steps forward i felt heavier than before i gripped the black and orange flamed pistol not sure how to shoot it properly. The grenades scared me the most. My only thought was what if it goes off and kills me while strapped to my side? I gulped at the thought again. The sheild sounded handy even if i didn't know how that worked in any way. Once i made it back to the plaza area to the right was the grey staircase i had came down. I sighed looking to my left seeing the big bulding i had met Jack. The guy who obviously thought i was a kid. I looked away and started toward the staircase I went up them a little faster this time only because of the pistol in my hands. The only problem was how do i shoot it? That was a problem. Okay, a BIG problem! I kept looking at it seeing the trigger placing my finger on it gently being cautious not to pull it. I noticed a button above the trigger it said. Safe on.

What does that do? I pushed the botton it flipped to the other side the other side read. Safe off. A safe has to be a good thing.

I got up the steps seeing the purple hallway that i had traveled into. I made my way to it. Seeing the same three vending machines i wondered if i needed anything. I looked over at the Fast Travel thing as Lilith had called it. I didn't know wether i wanted to mess with it again.

A loud voice rung through my ears making me jump like a cat.

"Come ooooon!" The voiced whined. "Just hit it."

I wrinkled my brow. "Jack?" I did a 360 seeing if he was behind me or beside me. His voice sounded right with me.

"Yep. Thats me."

"H-ho." I asked with a wrinkled brow.

He interuppted. "Its the echo. We can communicate through it.

"Why?"

"Why?" He mocked my voice with a screech. "Cause sweetheart, We got to work together to get to this Vault."

"I still don't understand." I sighed. I just wished someone would answer me on all this unanswered questions.

"You will soon enough." Jack replied. "Kay, bye."

I sighed. "Jerk." I mumbled.

"Iiiii'm gonna pretend you didn't say that." Jack sighed.

My breath stopped my eyes widened. I didn't mean for me to hear him.

"I uhh umm." I tried saying.

"Yeah, yeah. Its cool. Just get moving." He replied in a hurried tone as if it was a life or death kind of situation.

"Okay." I whispered taking a step closer to the fast travel. I wanted to hesitate so badly but Jack would just whine more in my ear. About this Vault thing and how we couldn't waste anymore time or something. I sighed pushing one of the keys on the keyboard the same light blue screen lit up to my face. I scrolled around with the arrows on the keyboard looking for the word Concordia. Finally i came to the word it glowed white as i stared at it.

The more i stared the more i wondered what kind of life choices i was making. Were they stupid? Why did i let Abby hit those keys? Why couldn't i be the responsible sister? Maybe, mom and dad were right after all these years that i really am irresponsible. I put Abby in danger and i can't even be by her side. Was spending all this time and effort not to mention money on becoming a doctor the right choice? Should i've listened to dad more when he was trieing to explain what becoming a doctor would do to my life? How it would change me? And the people around me? Are mom and dad really proud of me? Is Abby happy? Do i make them smile about my choices?

I squeezed my eyes tightly together trieing to forget all these questions. Clearing my mind. I made fists with my hands. This moping wasn't going to get me out of this place or get Abby back. Before i thought it through i smashed the enter button the voice came on counting down from three. Then a light flashed. It felt like I was being pulled apart.

"Aw,great your in Concordia." Jacks voice said in my ear.

I looked around it was dark I looked into the sky seeing that there were twinkling stars shining down a black background behind them showing there personality. I left my gaze from the sky to examine the town, it was nothing like Helios. For 1) It was a lot smaller, 2) The colors were dull compared to what Helios had and 3) There were people here, humans. Life. The main building was obvious it stood tall with glass for front walls to the right was a lit up building with a sign that read "Moxxi's Up and Over Bar"

Hmm. A drink didn't sound so bad but then I needed to stay sober if I was going to find Abby. I looked over to the left there was another lit up sign hanging on the building the giant needle object for a sign read. "Nina's Jab N' Go"

I swallowed. That didn't sound very reassuring. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to go in there anytime.

Jacks rumbling voice vibrated my ear as he spoke in my ear piece. "Sight see later, pumpkin head over to the front of Moxxis place."

I looked over toward the building. "Why?" I asked not knowing why I needed to go over there.

"Because!" He sighed. "Your partner is over there."

"Oh." I breathed in a deep breath walking over to the few steps that led to the higher platform. I walked forward seeing a few people slouching against the buildings or sitting on benches, they looked bored or like nothing ever made them shout for joy. I scanned around my surroundings seeing if anyone looked, I don't know different.

"Umm," I hesitated with my words not sure if I just spoke Jack could hear me.

"Yeah?" I heard Jacks voice ask.

"Oh, so can you eavesdrop on me all the time?" I asked thinking that would be a bit weird.

"Sort of, if I keep my echo on."

"Hmmm." I hummed. "So what does this 'partner' look like?" I emphasized the word partner as if the word was strange to me.

"You'll know when see him." He hummed his words gliding together smoothly he sounded proud.

I sighed. 'I can't ever get a straight answer from this man' I shook my head. I almost found that attractive. I smiled to myself. Wondering why I found a strange space man so attractive just by his words maybe it was how the words just glided off his tongue off his lips and into my ears so sweet like honey. I was took out of my daze by a lady walking up to me with an screechy excited voice.

"Your a Vault Hunter aren't you!" She squealed with pure thrill in her eyes and a big white smile.

"Umm, I guess." Was the only thing I could say because honestly I didn't know if I was or not I knew Jack and Lilith had called me one but what really was a Vault Hunter and why was I in the category of one?

"Woooow." The lady awed turning away from me and walking away.

'Okay.' I said in an awkward tone wrinkling my brow.

I looked to the left of me staring at the sign of the Moxxi place. Looking around for anyone. Then someone caught my eye.

I started taking steps forward keeping my eyes locked on them as I got closer them was a he and he was, Jack?

"Jack?" I questioned walking up to him. "W-what a-are you doing here?" I stuttered for the words he hadn't mentioned being here. Was he my partner?

"Uhh, heey." Jack said in an odd tone it wasn't his normal glide off his tongue it was more hesitant and nervous.

I heard a voice talking through his ear piece. "Go ahead, tell her who you are." It said.

"I'mm Jack."

I wrinkled my brow. I nodded my head slowly. He was acting different than what he had before. I wasn't feeling the same feelings I was before toward him. Something was off.
