Part 7 : Faith

Gargi, Prakritish da, Borah started their journey after the rain stopped and Princes Gargi was leading the team. Kiten gave them an approximate route map copied from the old library drawn by charcoal on a dried deer skin. They slowly crossed the area of tiger clan village, then walking by two moons they crossed dolphin clan village, where they saw ladies are rearing baby dolphins in the river moon connected lake, but couldn't identify the pair of baby dolphins they followed and reached this place. Ladies were using a string instrument covered with leather and wood which creating subsonic sound which dolphins can hear. It seemed they know many types of communications with dolphins as they were responding with different behaviour with different sounds created with the instrument, Princess Gargi explained. Prakritish da asked about the baby dolphins they followed. Princess Gargi answered, the upstream connection of the river moon with the lake of full moon is also have dolphins and we may find them. Question is how shall we differentiate them with others, Borah said. Princess Gargi said, as they took you here, similarly may be. Slowly they were crossed the falcon clan village. They rear different species of birds and specially falcons and pigeon, Kaitan or Kite belongs to this village, which have dense population and village is also quite large. Then they entered dense rain and sub alpine forest with under growths and big canopies. They saw innumerable kinds of insects, chameleons, snakes and reptiles fearlessly inhibiting together. Princess Gargi said, our destiny the clan village who believe their primitive ancestor is a woman like them, take care about both reptiles and river dolphins. Borah said, I feel something missing. Princess smiled and said, I understood and in both southern hill forest from here and north and north east, blue mountains, and their valleys have few more tribes who believe their ancestors are others. Suddenly Princess Gargi kept her finger on lips and indicated others to be silent and be still as possible. Gargi and others saw lot of trees slowly started moving either by their sides or in front. They realised actually a herd of huge elephants were silently standing and now they started walking. Slowly they disappeared into a huge elephant grassland which they couldn't see from behind the elephant herd. Princess Gargi said, now please follow me with caution. They entered grassland in left. Gargi saw a unicorn rhino, possibly female is eating grass. They saw one person sitting on an elephant slowly crossing grassland. At a place grass height looked meadow. Gargi and others saw the person riding elephant wearing a crown made of feathers another lady riding another elephant is nearing with the herd they saw. She was wearing chief crown and musk made with dried dear elephants head skin. Eyes of elephant were looking like two gems. They met and again slowly riding towards the north. Gargi confirmed seeing sun and blue mountains shadow. She was habituated calculating day and night timings looking at the sun - mountain shadows at day and constellations ascendance and positioning at night in connection with polestar and moon. Kaitan helped her with the map consisting the plenosphere in half and sky in half and the old almanac. She can identify directions also by that. Princess Gargi shouted at the elephant riders. They slowly stopped and looked at them behind. Both side they waved hand and finally met. The riders are from elephant clan, whose totem is elephant and their village is nearby. They came to the forest for food both depending on that the clan people and elephants. They know the language of tiger clan.
Eventually, they reached the elephant clan village. They have bigger huts with two separate rooms inside and use bamboo as the pillars of the hut. Use bamboo and cane stripes they bind and make walls by binding them with bamboo pillars. Roof is made by elephant grass but Gargi saw the made roof rails with bamboos. Like other tribes, a huge elephant sculpture is at the centre of the village, where few bamboos and cane made chairs kept for chief and her husband. The lady is the chief. Chief has no issue.
The young boy riding beside her married the chief lady. He is the next brother of the former husband of the chief. Now chief is expecting. So former husband made a separate hut to stay with a very young lady of 15 years. She is very pretty and got a nice friend in Princess Gargi approximately of her age. They arranged stay house for Gargi, Prakriti da and Borah in a vacant hut, previously used as library. Now they shifted the library in another hut. Gargi was saying to Prakriti da, we should call their library as archives. Sure, Prakriti da answered while observing the mesmerising artwork of human, elephant and rhino by chalk and charcoal. Possibly they used mollusc line abundant as various river and pond species. Young princess entered with lot of fruits and fish grills and rice with Princess Gargi in the hut, then offered them lunch. They were hungry, concentrated on foods.
