Laying in his bed, Ethan thought about everything leading up to this moment he just moved and ask to be apart of them. James his best friend since childhood, seem to be falling off. The random suicides and Akari Shinto killing herself at the party. Not to mention the woman who tried to kill him by having sex.
He also thought about things before Akari even died. He thought about his classes that he take online. The dating he was having with girl he cut off recently. And he couldn't stop but think about Thekla.
'That's it.' He Thought. The Almighty have to be leading him towards Thekla and Jue. Especially Thekla. In general, Ethan felt he was being led by the Holy Spirit to meet them. Thekla, a full blood daughter of Zion. A woman of God. Closes thing to Gid he had was his mother who is Christian. He met a woman with a different yet strong drive for The Most High.
'Father,' he began to pray in his bed, 'I know I would normally pray when I want something. But this time im asking you to guide me and always be next to me. I don't know if you could bless me to be with her, but bless me to be her brother in Christ and friend, amen.'
It was morning, a Sunday. The sun was beaming on a gloomy DoB city. DoB city have nothing but small buildings the only big buildings is a small section where the rich people stay and the biggest is a mountain like building that divides the poor side of DoB.
On the carnal side of things, the police department was getting hectic. Having majority of the suicide cases being unsolved made a lot of family's/loved ones upset. Some angry. It made Chief Thompson irritated.
"For the love of-da hell ya mean more signs of them not showing evidence of suicide?" Thompson groaned.
"All the victims show they couldn't of done it." A cop replied.
"Sir," saids another cop, "another series of suicide report." He stated. The cop gave him the holographic report as Thompson read.
"You gotta be kidding me, how?" The report involved a elderly man, having all limps chopped off with axe in his chopped arm. Thompson took of his hat and rubbed his thinning grey hair. Detective Fane walks in nervous and anxious as usual.
"Sir uhh, can we speak." He softly asked. Thompson looking up, gave a look to the two cops as they left them alone.
"This better be good." Thompson warned. Fane sallowed making him more nervous.
"I don't know what's going on but somethings up-"
"If you say has to deal with a demon, imma throw you in jail." Thompson said cutting off Fane.
"I understand ch-chief, but I..really think if the victims keep staging a suicide that's we can't explain, we could get someone who explains..the unexplained." Fane explained. He thought. He didn't admit but he knew if he want a break and for the whole city to stop working his nerves, he'll have to call in the one guy he's been trying to keep from making SALSD, National.
"Great," Chief Thompson sighed, "Bring in Detective Jue."
Ethan still progressing on what to believe heard a knock on his window. It was Jue. He let him in as Jue lean by his window peeping through the blinds.
"Why didn't you just use the front door bro?" Ethan asked. Jue shrugged.
"Never let em know your next move, anyway I suppose you got questions on the events you got sucked into." Jue told him. Ethan got focused.
"Yeah, for starters who's the lady?" Ethan asked.
"Right, the woman name is Wendy Hernandez, her status is still active. Even though we cast out the spirit, it still lurks it'll be back" Jue expressed. Jue sat in Ethan's rolling chair, rolling in front of him, he took his hat off.
"Look the world with demons and angels, live above and below us. Right above this world we think so vast of," Jue pointed to the ceiling, "A spiritual realm is active day and night." He explained. Ethan scratched his head. He believed in God, spirits and demons. He never knew how serious and dangerous it can be, being caught in it.
"Ok, how do I strengthen my sight. I wanna be able to have that energy you had earlier." Ethan effused eagerly. Jue chuckled. That was music to his ears.
"What you believe kid?" He asked. Ethan sat up straight.
"G-GOD-of course.." Ethan stammered. Jue scratched his stubble on his chin.
"That's fine, but are you religious?" Jue asked. Ethan blinked. He uttered then he grew silent not sure how to answer.
"I'll say uh Christian?" Ethan finally replied, more so with a question. Ethan wasn't sure about his belief system he believed in God, yet he disapproved of Christian teachings.
"Answered with a question? Good enough! " Jue said strongly as he stretched, "Your lost we all are in some spiritual form or way, what makes us different from the rest of the lost soul, we're searching, soon to be found. You want to witness the true power of The ALMIGHTY All High?" Jue explained, asking Ethan as walked the door, turning around making eye contact. Ethan have it no second thought.
"Yes, I am." He agreed. Jue grinned.
"Great you come with me to know more." Considered Jue. Ethan went with him not knowing the journey and the spiritual birth he will experience. Jue halocell started to ring as he picked up showing a Thekla hologram.
"What's the stats?" Jue asked.
"Looks like The Most High wants us to be seen, Thompson asking for you." Thekla said. Jue then gave a big smirk. Jue smirks when the Father is in the mist working or giving a turning point in the battle field, and Chief Thompson asking for the SALSD was a great turning point.
"Ahh I see. Thanks for that blessed intel sis. Send me the address and meet me there. I'll be bringing a witness." Jue stated.
"Ahh ok Thekla out." She said oddly as she hung up.
"Let's go, your gonna see the Father work today my young Ach," Jue pointing to the sky, "All joy To the LORDS of lord, he is amazing!" Jue praised. Ethan never seen him this happy in the little time he has see him. 'So this is the joy from God?' Ethan thought.
