Jade's POV:

"JUST PUSH THAT FUCKING BUTTON." Lea shouted as she looked around for something, a help button, a speaker, anything.

"I am, it won't work!" I yelled back, repeatedly pressing my finger on the red button that said SOS.

I could feel it breaking, and then it fell on the floor. Great, our only way of getting help is now laying on the floor, next to my converse shoes. I bent down and took the button, wanting to keep it as a memory of this day. I knew me and my friend would laugh about it one day.

I sighed, then looked at the stranger next to me that was in the elevator with us when it got stuck. He was wearing a strange black surgical mask, I didn't know why though. "What's up with the mask...?"

He gazed at me with a creepy...empty stare. The guy gave me chills. We locked eyes, but it didn't last long as Lea turned around to look at him. "Are you going to help us?"

"I am." he snatched the SOS button from my hands and he placed it where it was initially, then continuously pushed it. Nothing.

I took it again and put it in my pocket.

After a lot of tries and arguing, the elevator door simply opened. I was already annoyed with both of them, though for some reason I wanted to befriend the guy. "What the hell?"

"Were the doors just not working this entire time..." Lea said, frustrated. I didn't understand how that happened, but I didn't question it.

The weird guy did't seem phased. As I was getting out of the elevator, he caught me by my arm. I couldn't see his entire facial expression because of the mask, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I figured out he had one of those creepy wide smiles with wide eyes and all that. Where the hell did this guy think he was?

"Go on a date with me."

I awkwardly stared at him, struggling to figure out how to nicely burst his bubble, and Lea burst out laughing. I controlled my laugh as I didn't want to be rude. "I like women..."

Though I couldn't see it, I am pretty sure his smile faded.

"Can we all hang out as friends though, we are literal loners. Please." Lea said.

I glanced as my friend, a little creeped out by his stare, though she seemed unbothered. He laughed weirdly, then suddenly stopped. He slowly let go of my arm.

I shakingly shook his hand. "My name is Jade."

"Mine's Lea."

He tilted his head. "I'm Jeff."
