"Umbitch gave me double detention for saying that I was a Bauer." I recapped. "And then she... made me write lines with a quill. Except it wasn't with ink. Every time I wrote... it made a scar on my hand. She... she made me do this to myself." I unwrapped the bandages from my hand to reveal the scar on my hand. And the words: 'I am a Street Rat, and I have no real family.'
That was all Jacob needed to hear and see, apparently. "Did she now?" And I could tell that he was cracking his knuckles. "Well... looks like I'm going to need to have a few words with her-" He started going for the door.
"Jacob, hold on a second!" I shouted. "We have a plan! The rebellion!"
"The What?" Jacob asked. "What Rebellion?"
I spoke about my idea of rebellion with Jacob and Lizzie. With us teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts ourselves.
"...So... that's why we've decided to teach ourselves DADA because the Toad Wart is not doing anything to teach us." I explained to them.
Jacob paused. Then he looked at me. "I don't care if you have a plan, Kassandra. No one dares do that to my Baby Sister. You know... I ought to go up there and rip her head off from her shoulders right now." He said.
"Jacob... The Toad Wart has Ministry backing. And well... I don't think we can do much about that. Even McGonagall and Dumbledore can't do anything." I pointed out. "I think we should try to undermine her from the inside."
"I always said that Umbitch was a real bitch. You remember that crap she tried to do to Ethan?" Lizzie asked.
"How could I forget? I was there." Jacob answered. "That little press stunt clearly was an example."
"Little press stunt?" I asked.
"It's a long story." Jacob answered and he didn't seem to be quick to answer.
I couldn't help but be touched at Jacob calling me his baby sister. With everything that's happened lately, it was at least nice to see that he regarded me as his family, proving Umbitch was wrong. I wasn't a street rat, and I did have a family.
"Doesn't shock me. Toad Wart always was a bitch when it came to that sort of stuff." Jacob commented. I also saw Lizzie create some Ice picks and throw them like darts at a newspaper of Umbitch being in the center of it.
"Bullseye." Lizzie smirked.
"This is all my fault. I should've taken that job in Defense Against the Dark Arts." Jacob commented.
"Come off it, Jacob." Lizzie assured. "It wasn't your fault. The Ministry wanted to put a puppet and Toad Wart was exactly that."
Oh, Jacob would've been an EXCELLENT Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.
"So... who's leading these Rebel classes anyway?" Jacob asked.
"Well... Harry and I can teach them." I answered. "Between the two of us, we'll avenger Cedric and bring an end to Voldemort." I noticed that neither Jacob nor Lizzie flinched. I guess I was just so used to others around Hogwarts flinching at the name.
"You'd make a good teacher." Lizzie commented.
"Thanks. But I don't know. I'm not much of a teacher myself." I thanked.
"You can make a great teacher, Kassie. Think of it like teaching Ethan and I about Greek Mythology. You're great at that." Jacob assured agreeing with Lizzie.
I suppose that could be true.
But there was something else on my mind. It was about Ginny now dating and Harry having his eyes on Cho.
