"oh! that was the sound of the bell, i'm gonna go back to my seat! see you later Y/N!" your friend waved to you.
"okay, bye!!" you waved back.
you look to the boy next to you and see that he was startled by the bell.
"good morning class! before we star homeroom today, i would like to introduce our new classmate, Xiao!" your cheerful teacher said as she entered the class.
"Xiao, could you please stand up and give us a introduction?" the teacher asked.
"um... sure..." xiao replied.
you were shocked at his voice. it was nothing like you have heard. it was calm and soft but also kind of scary and hot at the same time.
"i'm xiao and i um hope we can be friends..." he said then sat down.
'that last part sounds really forced...' you thought to yourself 'hah, i guess he doesn't like people.'
"alright then! settle down class, lets start homeroom!" your teacher sat down.
xiao was in almost all your classes and sat close to you but neither one of you spoke to each other.
"phew,done with school this week! thank goodness we have all of next week off as well, this week has been super busy." you sighed at your best friend as you two walked back to your dorms.
"isn't that new guy kind of weird though? he didn't say anything at all in all my classes with him and he got full scores on all the quizzes! he didn't study at all! what about your classes with him?"
"same as your situation! i really don't get it."
"yeah..."
just as you were about enter your dorm with your best friend, you see xiao in front of the dorm next to yours talking with your language arts teacher. your teacher noticed you and waved for you and your friend to come over.
"hey girls! this is xiao, a new student and he will be your neighbor from now on!" your teacher said.
"wow, what a coincidence, we have the same homeroom too!" your friend said.
you see a somewhat disgusted expression emerge on xiaos face and as soon as he noticed, it turned into a fake smile.
'wow... he must really hate human interaction huh... reminds me of the old me in middle school hehe' you say to yourself.
"hey Y/N, do you mind helping him around for a few days? you guys have almost the same schedules!" your teacher said.
"oh! um... sure i guess?" you say but you didn't really wanna do it.
"great! then the 3 of you can be friends too! anyways have a great break you guys!"
"thanks sir!" you and your friend waved goodbye.
"so-" your friend started but xiao entered his dorm and slammed the door in your faces.
"EXCUSE ME? THAT WAS SO RUDE??" your friend complained "boo this new guy has a horrible personality."
"haha, remember my edgy phase where i won't talk to anyone? maybe he just doesn't like people..." you calmed your friend.
"yeah, yeah, okay miss angel. always so kind and understanding to everyone."
"hehe, okay lets go back now."
"alright then. mr wont talk is rude i wish you could teach him some manners, ugh."
"okay, okay, lets go now."
"fine, by the way what are you doing over break?"
"nothing much."
"ooo me either! wanna just hang out?"
"sure!"
you and your friend chat in your dorm and enjoy the rest of your day.
