you and xiao hang out for the rest of break and and time flashed before your eyes when you realize that a week had already passed. things went by pretty smoothly at school after. you guys become best friends, hang out as a trio with your other best friend or sometimes just the two of you. it was nearing the end of the school year and you guys were gonna graduate before you knew it.
"meet me on the rooftop after school today -xiao." said a note inside your locker.
a day before current time... (xiao's POV)
'i should confess to her tomorrow. it's nearing the end of the deadline. both, deadlines.' xiao thought.
'she'll probably reject me. she deserves so much better than me... if she rejects me then i'll have a reason to...'
"no." xiao stood up from his bed and blocked out all the bad thoughts he was having.
"tomorrow. note. locker. confess." he said confidently to himself.
"confess..."
xiao looks at his face in the mirror.
can he do this? was he brave enough? is this a good idea? should he even try? if he doesnt then he wont have anything in his life...
all these thoughts were running through xiaos head as he grabbed a pen and piece paper with hs shaking hands and started writing.
current time:
'xiao wants me to meet him on the rooftop after school? what is this, a confession?' you giggle to yourself.
'i mean sure i'll see him...'
(OKAY START PLAYING THE SONG IT'S EMOTIONAL TIME 🤭)
"xiao?" you ask as you finally reach the rooftop.
"hey Y/N..." xiao turned around.
he was wearing his school uniform like he did every day but this afternoon, it looked so magical with him standing by the railing as the beautiful sun was slowly setting behind him.
"so um, why did you call me up here?" you said nervously
"oh i um..."
silence.
it was just the 2 of you. on that rooftop that day. it was the most magical moment you two have ever experienced in your pathetic, sad, little lives.
"i... i love you Y/N. please be my girlfriend."
xiao looks at the ground.
"..."
*sniffles*
"Y-Y/N? a-are you crying? i'm so sorry... you can say no..."
"xiao.. look at me. these are... tears of joy."
xiao looks up at you as your beautiful hair flies in the wind. through your tears, xiao saw the purest, most beautiful smile that anyone has ever and will ever see.
xiao pulls you in and gives you a big hug.
"i really... didn't expect you to say yes."
*sniffles* "of course i'd say yes you big dummy"
"...good."
"what were you gonna do if i said no?"
"..."
"xiao?"
"it's nothing."
"o-okay then. i love you."
xiao blushed at these words.
"i love you more" he whispered into your ear and surprised you by suddenly kissing you.
your first kiss. just like in the fairytales, sweet, magical, and best of all, it was from someone you loved dearly. both of you stand on the rooftop as the sun set behind you.
