intertwined universes (xiao x Y/N) <3

chapter 3.5; xiao's POV.

'wow. first day of school and everyone's already avoiding me. what a terrible school should have asked mom to keep homeschooling me. bleh.' xiao said as he entered the school on his very first day.

'oh i think i'm early. theres no one here.' xiao enters his homeroom class and finds his seat which had a small paper with his name on it.

'maybe i'll take a nap.' he thought.

xiao quickly fell asleep.

"hey girlie!" xiao hears someone.

'ugh, what?' xiao rubs his eyes slowly to see a beautiful girl siting next to him.

"shh! he's asleep, be quiet!" the beautiful girl said.

"who is this?" the annoying loud person asked.

xiao quickly closed his eyes so they don't think he's spying on him or anything.

"i'm not sure... hes probably a new student! the teacher will probably introduce him when class starts."

"cool, ANYWAYS wanna see the new manga i bought?"

"of course! i've been waiting for forever for this volume to come out!"

"lets read until the bell then."

"okay!"

'what a annoying duo.' xiao thought. he went back to sleep but got startled by the bell just a few minutes later.

the teacher entered the room.

"good morning class! before we start homeroom today, we have a new student i would like to welcome! xiao, would you mind introducing yourself?"

"oh, um sure..." xiao said and stood up.

"my name is xiao and.."

'be nice. be nice.' xiao thought to himself.

"i hope we can be friends." he said through gritted teeth.

"alright! then we shall start homeroom now." the teacher finished.

soon homeroom was over and everyone headed separate ways. xiao noticed he had most classes with the beautiful girl who was next to him in homeroom who's name he later realized was Y/N. in each class with Y/N, he couldn't help hut stare at her. xiao walked around the whole school mostly from getting lost but the only person he thought was beautiful was Y/N.

xiao aced every single test even though he didn't study for it because he was a genius but never spoke because he has social anxiety.

just as xiao was about to enter his dorm, his language arts teacher walked up to him.

"xiao! i see you found your dorm! how's your day?"

"oh, um good afternoon miss, my day's going okay."

"great! let's see... who's your neighbor..."

just then, Y/N and her friend came up the stairs.

"ah, Y/N and (Y/N friend's name)! hey girls!"

"oh, hi miss! good afternoon!" Y/N's friend responded as Y/N did a slight bow.

"perfect! Y/N, you and xiao have most your classes together right? you could show him around the campus sometimes!"

"i, um... sure! i guess i can help." Y/N said with a pure, beautiful smile.

'wow... her smile brightens the whole room...' xiao thought. 'oh sh*t. what on earth am i thinking? no!'

"xiao? hello?"

"ah! um sorry miss."

"are you ok?"

"yeah, just a little tired.."

"alright then, you guys get some rest, bye!"

"bye miss! see you next week!" Y/N and her friend waved.

"hey so um-" Y/N's friend started

xiao slammed the door due to the fact that he was horrible at socializing and it was also really awkward.

xiao did some stuff later that day and went to bed.

"ngh..." xiao woke up to sun in his eyes.

"umm what time is it?" xiao looked at his clock. oh, 10 AM. ' i should get breakfast... oh, i don't know where the cafeteria is...'

xiao decided to just get on his computer and play a bit of games and just chill for the rest of the day.

a few hours later, xiao heard a knock on his door.

'... who in the world would wanna visit my room? i'll ignore it for now. it's probably just a teacher they'll go away soon.'

xiao heard another knock in his door a few minutes later.

xiao stands up and walks to his door.

"umm, hi, can i help you?" he said as he opened the door.

"oh! hi, sorry, i'm Y/N from the dorm next to you. and sorry about my friend earlier she loves to talk. anyways i'm supposed to show you around right? wanna go-"

"um no sorry." xiao stopped.

"ah that was so rude im sorry thanks for inviting me anyways." xiao closes the door slowly.

'ugh... why did i turn her down...' xiao thinks to himself right after he closed the door.

'she was so pretty... and nice... no one has ever willingly spoke to me like that.' xiao jumps on his bed and buried his face in his pillow. 'her name was... Y/N, right? oh god what is this feeling? i can't...' xiao's face turned red.

'i'll... pay her a visit. tomorrow. hopefully her friend will be busy.' xiao thought selfishly.
