It Was Actually Meant To Be

I woke up around 9 am the next morning, with my head still on Clay's chest. I never want to leave. I just wish he would- "Good morning Y/N" Clay said. Gosh that morning voice though "Good morning Clay" I replied. After those two sentences we just stayed there. That was until Sapnap decided to start screaming. As Clay and I ran upstairs, we only saw Sapnap staring at the TV which had the Weather Channel on. "Why did you scream?" I said frantically.
"There is going to be a bad storm here tomorrow, flooding is at a 90% risk, we need to start getting ready. I'll head to the store while you and Clay start preparing things around here." Sapnap replied.  So Clay and I got to work while Sapnap went to get things like food, Batteries, matches, and more things like that. Clay started getting sand bags around the house while I started finding all the matches and candles we had. "Hey Y/N?" I heard Clay tell from downstairs. "Yeah what's up?" I replied. I started walking down stairs, but froze when I saw him. He was shirtless. "I'm hungry." He said plainly. "Why are you shirtless?" I asked. I mean I'm not fighting it but I would like an explanation.
"I got hot outside. It's super humid before the storm" Clay replied flatly. I ended up making us some buttered noodles and Clay went back to work.

A short time after that Sapnap came home and we helped him carry in. He got a bunch of batteries, some matches, candles, a battery- powered Radio, tons of water, and some food. After we put everything away, we went to sleep because before we knew it, the storm would be here.

~The Next Morning: Storm Day~
I woke up with a weird feeling in my gut. Like I knew today was going to be bad. It started sunny. Calm before the storm. Around noon is when it started to get cloudy and rainy. We were sitting on the coach watching the weather channel, waiting for the storm to come. As we were watching, randomly, the power went off and the rain started pouring. And I mean POURING. Trees were swaying, and within 5 minutes streets were becoming flooded. Sapnap had lit a Candle and gave Clay and I flash lights. I turned mine on to see a frightened Clay sitting on the couch with a pale look on his face. "Not a fan of storms, huh?" I asked Clay. He only shook his head in response. He couldn't even talk.

After some time, the rain let up a bit. Streets were flooded, but I wanted to go outside in the rain. So I did. "Y/N what are you doing?" Sapnap said.
"What does it look like Einstein? I'm going to go dance in the rain." That's when Clay got up and followed me. I was a little confused but I figured maybe he was just going to watch me. I pulled out my phone and had it playing "Something I need" By OneRepublic. I started dancing and then my favorite part came on. So is started singing.

That's when Clay started walking out towards me. And he started singing

He grabbed my hand and started dancing with me. We kept singing along

That's when he twirled me around and did that fancy dip thing. I never thought I would experience this. As the last line came on, he didn't sing it, he said it as he looked in my eyes.

If we only live once, I wanna live with you.
