Max Mayfield's thoughts about Lucas Sinclair
Honestly, I never knew I'd fall in love like this I knew it would happen but I didn't think I'd fall this hard. He's just so pretty, with his chocolate-colored eyes, his soft skin, and beautiful smile. Love has a name its name is Lucas Sinclair. Lucas the love of my life, my stalker. I love him with every bone in my body I really don't know how I got so lucky to have him in my life but I'm glad I do.
Max pov
I slowly look down seeing the love of my life in my arms fast asleep. God, I love him so much. He came over to make sure I was okay because it's been one year since my shitty step-brother died sure he was an ass but I still loved him. He comes over anytime I need him and I'm super grateful but I don't think I've considered how he feels enough he's always taking care of me I should start doing the same so he knows I love him to which I'm sure he knows but I want him to feel it like I do. "Lucas baby wake up" I quietly say to not startle him. He mumbles some words I can't make up but ends up looking up at me. "God he's beautiful.." I thought as he patiently waited for me to respond. "Come on let's go get something to eat I haven't eaten yet and I'm sure you skipped lunch to come to see me," I say while slowly caressing his cheek. "Mm.." he mumbled and sat up while grabbing my hand. "Come on stalker let's go," I say while laughing at him. "He's so cute when he's tired," I thought while leading him to the kitchen slowly so he can keep up. I look back at him "You know what I've changed my mind let's go out to eat" I say while he nods in agreement. We both quickly put on our shoes and head out the door and get on his bike and head to Bennys for breakfast. After a while, the party invites us to go swimming and we accept and head over there quickly as possible.
Lukey pov
I'm following right behind max as we walk over to the party. "Hey," I say as I hug all of them but stay in the hug with Will. I don't know why I just felt like not letting go since he left to go on vacation and I haven't seen him. I didn't realize everyone was staring til Will let go, "Sorry sorry I just haven't seen you for a bit" I step back towards max a little embarrassed. "It's okay Lucas don't worry let's get in!!" Will said excitedly. We all got in and are having a blast max looks a bit uncomfortable so I go over and hug her from behind "You okay Maxy?" I whisper in her ear. She looks over at me and smiles "Yeah Luc I'm fine don't worry" she says while kissing my cheek. I start smiling so wide I can't control my face when I'm with her it's like all I do is smile I love her so much.
Maxy pov
God I love him so much I know I should be hanging out with everyone but I can't help staring at Lucas while ranting to El. "He's so caring El," I say as I look over at her and she's smiling at me like I told her something that would make her proud. "I'm glad he makes you happy Max," she says while beaming. "Thanks, El," I say as I look over and see Lucas walking over with 2 towels. "Y'all looked cold so I went and stole Mike's towels I don't think he'd mind," He says with concern in his voice as he wraps the towels around us. "Thanks, Lucas" El says while smiling and I nod in agreement. He kissed my head and walked away and I couldn't help but smile like an idiot. I watch as he grabs Dustin and throws him into the pool. We all start laughing "Lukey how could you do this!!" Dustin says while acting dramatic. "Oh I'm so sorry Dusty-Bun," Lucas says as he blows him a kiss. Dustin laughs as he gets out "You know Suzie is gonna be here tomorrow" Dustin says while we scream "SHE"S GONNA BE HERE????" Dustin starts laughing "Yeah y'all will finally get to meet her!" he says as we all look at each other thinking omg, he's serious.
Later in Mike's basement (still max pov)
I look down at Lucas's hands that are wrapped around my waist like he's scared I'm gonna break if he lets go. "Lucas?" I whisper quietly since the others are sleeping. He doesn't look at me which gets me worried because I know he isn't sleeping. I turn around and put my hands on his cheeks to make him look at me and what I see breaks my heart into pieces. He's crying? I don't think any of us see Lucas cry. "Lucas, what's wrong?" I say with concern in my voice. He starts sobbing into my shoulder quietly. "Shh it's okay I got you.." I say as I rub his back soothingly. "S-sorry max.." He says while his voice is cracking. "No no don't apologize nothing is your fault," I say calmly as I can. "It was just a nightmare can we go back to bed I don't wanna talk about it.." he mumbles. I lay down while he does the same and he hides his face against my side "Goodnight Madmax.." I smile "Night Stalker"
Authors Note!!! Sorry if this is bad- It's my first time so you know normalize men crying!!! I always see Lucas comforting max but never the other way around so I wanted to try!! Give me feedback if you would like! And I would love some ideas!! Make sure you shower, eat and stay hydrated!
