Long Distance Lumax. (Max moved away and now she's coming to visit after years of not being able to see each other)
Maxy pov
"Max, you ready?" my dad said as he put his luggage in the car. "Yes, dad I'll be down in a sec!!" I raised my voice a bit so he could hear me. I sped down the stairs and put my stuff in the car and didn't waste any time getting into the car. Then all of a sudden I remember I never told my dad I had found the love of my life. Stupid mistake right? I don't even know how I forgot. Maybe I was just scared of his reaction,
A few minutes later
"Hey, dad I think there's something I need to tell you," I say as I look at him. "Yeah what's up, hun?" he says without taking his eyes off the road. I take a deep breath "I have a boyfriend" I say while looking away from him. He looked over at him shocked and pulled into the rest area. "Who?!?! Do I know him is he treating you right?" He panics at the thought. I start laughing at his freak out "You will meet him today answer those questions yourself when we get there" I calmly reply and he calms down. "Okay" he gets out and fills the car with gas and we are on our way again. we listen to music the whole way well until I fell asleep. He wakes me up when we pass the Hawkins sign I can feel my heart skip a few beats. I tell him the directions to El's house I miss her. We pull up and I quickly get out and knock. El opens the door and I swear she knocked me down so hard I felt like I got knocked out "Max!!" "El! I missed you so much!!" I say while getting up and helping her off the floor. "Me too Max me too," she says while smiling. We hang out a lot but I look at the time and tell El I gotta go, so we tell out goodbyes and head out.
I tell him the directions to Lucas's house and we head there. As we pull into the driveway I look at my dad "You ready?" "You bet I wanna meet the boy who won my daughter's heart". So just like that we walk up to the door and knock. Mrs. Sinclair answers like always and she almost screams before I stop her. Oh did I forget to mention I never told Lucas about this? I introduce my dad to her since Lucas is at school and should be home soon. Erica walks in the door and when she spots Max she almost starts crying and hugs her even though she'd never admit it she loves Max. "Awe hey little Sinclair" I can't stop smiling at her she's grown so much. Once we all settle in we hear the door open and my heart starts beating faster than it ever has. I stand up and look at him and wait for him to see me since he's taking his shoes off. God, he's such a goofball but I love him. He finally looks up and it's like he froze and can't move. "Did I come all this way for you to just stare at me stalker?" I tease as he runs to me with so much force we end up on the ground. I can't stop laughing as he tightens his grip around me "I thought you couldn't come for my birthday?.." I didn't realize he was sniffling at first but when I realized I quickly sat us both up and kissed him. I missed this so much his lips, his hugs, his voice, his sense of humor, I just really missed him. We pull apart and stand up but just can't seem to be more than 2 inches away from each other. "So uhm dad this is my boyfriend Lucas" I motion towards him. My dad pulled him into a hug "About time you found someone thanks for taking care of her son" he said while letting go. Lucas looked stunned he couldn't even speak so I squeezed his hand. "O-oh yeah ofc!! Always." He said as he calmed down it seemed almost as if it was a promise. I look at the boy standing next to me and I can't help but notice he's wearing one of the oversized sweatshirts that I left here my necklace and a bracelet that I left. The adults started talking so we went to Lucas's room. Him sitting at his desk and me sitting on his bed, he looked down at the shirt "Shit sorry Max do you want this back?" he started to take it off but I stopped him "Keep it Stalker it looks good on you" I tease a little and kiss his forehead "Happy birthday my love" I kiss him I've kissed him before but damn I can't help the butterflies in my stomach as he wraps his arms around my waist taking his time. I pull away slowly and look at him I see his face start changing color as he gets embarrassed so in an effort to hide it. He leans his head down and rests it on my shoulder. God, I love when he's embarrassed. He's such an Idiot but he's my idiot.
