It's been a month since the fall dance and it is now October. For a month, Curt has been in the hospital due to pneumonia. After trying to defeat the demons from his nightmares, his stubbornness took the best of him and didn't listen to any warning of a consequence from overusing his powers. Now, he is dealing with the consequences, suffering from pneumonia and possibly HIV-positive. He is now lying on a hospital bed, on oxygen and an IV taped to his arm containing antibiotics and fever reducers for his raging fever. He has also gotten skinnier compared to last month. That's when the doctor came in. "Hey Curt, I know it's been a month and you wanted to recover but if you wait a bit, you'll recover soon," the doctor said before injecting medicine in Curt's IV bag.
"You told me that over a month ago, nothing's changed except my weight," Curt said, attempting to rebel. But he has gotten weaker and he has been so out of it because of his fever. "Just be a little patient," the doctor said before leaving the room. Curt didn't know what to do, he is so weak, all his strength is now gone.
