Sooo my friend (dino181spaghetti on AO3 and u/dino_181_spaghetti on Reddit) (I'm gonna refer to him as D181S) wanted to put a few notes and fun facts about this fanfic
1) he came up with the idea while he was bored, listening to two trucks on a car
2) this took 6 months to be completed
3) this is the fanfic he is most proud of
4) acording to the author, the funniest joke was the Facebook one and the dog shitting one
5) a scrapped line on chapter 5 was
Angel: what are your last words Neil?
Neil: Tell my cats I love them, and that they always have been my skrunkly fluffy balls
Angel: what about your wife and child
Neil: yeah tell them that I cared for them i guess
But the line, was scrapped due to being out of character for Neil.
6) on the AO3 version, instead of "I'M NOT THAT TYPE OF Y/N" it says "WE ARE NOT ON FUCKING WATTPAD"
7) Another scrapped idea was that the angel was revealed to be Yandere Dev, but D181S thought Neil was way too cool for YanDev
8) believe it or not, this was partially inspired by FNAF
9) Me and D181S share an instagram shitpost account where we go by the aliases "Greyllama (D181S)" and "Grapejuice (Me)" the accs name is @ dino181spaghetti
10) One of D181S' IRL friends has read the fanfic until ch3 because it was incomplete at that time. She liked it.
11) D181S didn't write this under the effect of illegal substances since he's 14
12) D181S wonders why RPF are badly seen outside of wattpad but inside here it's normalized.
13) In order to write Neil's character the most accurate way possible he watched all the NKOTR videos.
14) Y/N is NOT based on the author, Y/N is written like a misserable bitch for comedic purposes.
15) One of the things that most inspired the author was the CPR X MISERY X REESES PUFFS X APPLE BOTTOM JEANS meme. y/n is misery, the angel is cpr, Neil is reeses puffs and Bruce is apple bottom jeans.
16) D181S says he would have lived better if he knew Jaws' name was Bruce from the start of the fanfic.
17) On the last chapter, Neil was going to sing Birdfucker, but that would have been way too cursed.
18) D181S tried to make y/n kinda realistic to what a tired person would act like, the most unrelatable things y/n has are:
- being a FNAF fan
- Being a Jaws simp
- being rude to everyone
- not knowing Lemon Demon (if you are on this fanfic, there is a 98% probability you are a fan)
Plus, originally, Y/N was implied to be a Tally Hall fan in a scrapped dialogue that goes like this:
Bruce: Before I die.... I wanna say..... that Tally Hall's will return on...... *dies*
Y/N: Hell naw I wanted to know
19) It is not mentioned, but the angel has moth wings.
20) in the big ass fusion Neil does, the only features he takes from the TUSOUD rap verse characters are a single hair, so he is not really an amalgamate thingy.
21) D181S likes saying "hell naww" a lot
22) D181S does not really care if Neil stumbles upon this piece of literature, as long as it does not come with harassment
23) This fic is the most famous in his AO3 profile
24) D181S used to be on wattpad but he moved to AO3
25) D181S regrets everything and nothing at the same time
26) the funniest thing about the AO3 version are the tags like "going through the five stages of grief because of Neil Cicierega", "my FBI agent must hate me" and the most concerning one "Canon Typical Behaviour"
