Chapter XIII

[Pair JH (Jungkook and Hoseok)]

Like the rest they were also walking in a long long dark hallway... They were quite silent, not speaking to each other. Like always, Hoseok tried to lift up the mood. "Soo, JK!" he said. "Yea?" Jungkook replied shortly, it was awkward as Hoseok didn't get the response he expected, he tried again. "Umm, what do you think about all this...?" Hoseok asked. "I don't know... I just...want to get back home. I miss my parents." Jungkook replied sadly, looking down on the floor when he said the last line.

"Same here..." Hoseok replied. "I never thought I would miss my sister so much." He continued. "What did you tell your parents...? And sister about this thing?" Jungkook asked with curiosity. "I told them I was going on a long business trip. And I might not be able to call them because I will be so busy." Hoseok replied to Jungkook. "Oh, I said the same thing... except I told them there won't be any signal most of the time." Jungkook said. "I see..." Hoseok replied, nodding his head.

They walked with a heavy heart, with fear and missing their loved ones. They simply felt more pressure on their legs.

The hallway was not that long...surprisingly... "Woah, I didn't expect to reach already!" Hoseok exclaimed with relief and joy. "Don't be too excited Hyung... we still need to know what lies behind this." Jungkook easily killed the sunshine coming from Hoseok.

"Right..." Hoseok replied. Jungkook then reported that they reached the door. "Guys, found the door."

"Alright...go ahead then." Y/n replied. "Why isn't anyone else replying?" Hoseok questioned. "We don't know. The more the right side found the door. The less started replying." Jin replied. "Yep. We haven't heard from Jennie, Jisoo, Namjoon and Yoongi since they found the door." Jimin supported Jin's statement.

Hoseok gulped. "Are.. are you sure..?" Hoseok asked again.

"Very..." Taehyung replied.

"Guys, stop it! You're making them scared...!" Y/n interrupted them.

"No, it's STOB it." Jin mockingly corrected Y/n.

"Yea Y/n. s-t-o-B!" Jungkook spelled it.

"I-T!" Jin and Jungkook said together. Y/n sighed knowing she won't be able to do anything. "Ugh. Whatever." Y/n said through the walkie talkie, putting her hand on her head.

"Are you guys together..?" Hoseok asked. "Yea, still investigating. We haven't found anything at all." Taehyung replied. "Wait- then why are you guys speaking to each other on a walkie talkie...?" Jungkook asked. "Meh, just to lift up the mood. You know." Jin shrugged on the other side of the walkie talkie.

"But in all seriousness. Do you think you want to go in..? We haven't heard from the other pairs at all. Be honest. Please." Y/n asked.

Jungkook and Hoseok looked at each other and then looked at the mysterious door. "What do you think... Jungkook?" Hoseok asked. Jungkook took a moment and thought. "I don't think I can do this anymore. It's driving me crazy." Jungkook replied to Hoseok and the walkie talkie. "Same...it's bringing out all the unwanted fears inside me. Fears I've never had before." Hoseok continued Jungkook's statement.

"Come back then...don't worry. It's totally fine." Y/n replied. "How about we come to your side? It would be better....I don't want to stay useless." Hoseok replied. "Same." Jungkook replied. "Alright then." Y/n replied. Jungkook and Hoseok made their way to the other side.

[Left side]

"I feel worried about the other side..." Taehyung said worried. "I'm worried too..." Y/n stated. "Don't we have to check on them in that case?" Jimin asked.

"We do have to, but we also don't know what's there. We could also start hallucinating and...UGH! This is all messed up!" Y/n spoke frustrated not knowing what to do. She had her hand grabbing her hair in frustration. Jimin, Jin and Taehyung looked at each other not knowing what to do. "Sorry.." Jimin said, feeling guilty for asking that question. "No...no, it's not your fault.. What you asked made sense. But we don't know what to do." Y/n replied. "How about we all do the left side first, since we are already here." Jin suggested. "Yes... we'll do that first but instead of splitting up...we'll stick together." Y/n agreed with Jin's idea. "Sounds like a plan." Taehyung.

"Let's go ahead then!" Jimin replied.

"Wait!" Taehyung yelled before they could go. "What happened..?" Jin asked. "Don't we have to wait for Jungkook and Hoseok?" Taehyung asked. "Right." Y/n replied. "Let's just go and tell them which way we are going, we can't really waste time." Y/n continued after thinking for a while. "Alright then, let me inform them." Jin replied.

They walked past the first class where they were in and found themselves stuck between 2 paths. "Which path should we go in...?" Jimin questioned again. Everyone looked over Y/n. "Why are you looking at me?!" Y/n asked.

"Uhh, I thought you were supposed to lead us..?" Jin said. "Since when?" Y/n asked again. "Um, isn't it quite obvious right now like- you always you know, along with Namjoon make decisions." Taehyung tried to pinpoint the reason.

"That doesn't make me the leader. I was just giving suggestions and you guys agreed." Y/n said. "Suggestions my foot, just tell us which way." Jin said again. "Um, my instincts tell me to go to the left again." Y/n said, not sure if that is the right decision. "Left it is then." Jin said. "But are you sure because...we don't know what lies after the storage room in the beginning." Jimin interrupted before they could go to the left.

"That's true Jimin, and that's exactly one of the reasons why we are coming out of our comfort zone, which is basically our compartment. We have to find what is behind all this." Taehyung said, sounding like a responsible leader. An awkward moment of silence followed. "Um." Y/n said not sure what to reply.

"Uh." Jin replied to Y/n's 'Um' "Hm!" Jimin replied to Jin. "mhm." Jungkook replied from behind. "Sheesh! JK when did you even come here?!" Taehyung flinched. "Umm, Just now?" Jungkook replied again. "So fast?" Jimin asked. "Yep, we actually ran all the way here." Hoseok finally replied, panting. "You shouldn't have run." Jin told them. "Meh." Jungkook shrugged.

"Okay. Let's go!" Taehyung replied. He went hopping to the left side as if they were in an amusement park. "Is he okay..?" Jin questioned. "I don't know." Y/n replied. "Don't talk bad about my soulmate!" Jimin said defending his so-called 'Soulmate'

"Yea, we'll see." Y/n said, unamused.
