"I'm you. But different, of course, I'm a psycho. I'd like to go with the name J-hope. A bright name for a dark person isn't it? I like to leave a reminder on my victim's face by drawing a smile on their face with a knife. People think of me as a real life joker, so J-hope as in Joker of hope." He smirked while checking out his knife. "Too bad you're my next victim."
Hoseok gulped, and he could feel trickles of sweat coming down to his face. His surroundings suddenly faded to black now there was nothing between J-hope and him.
J-hope chuckled, "Seems like it'll be easier to kill you." Hoseok immediately ran from his spot with J-hope running behind him.
Taehyung woke up to a phone ringing, he groaned at the loud annoying ringtone and he checked the call ID which had 'Sunbae-nim' displayed on the screen, Taehyung was confused but nonetheless he picked up and spoke in a polite tone, "Hello?"
He heard a sigh on the other side of the phone, "Taehyung ah, late in the first day of work? No wonder you got fired many times, I'll send you the location please come as soon as possible." He heard a male voice speak. "I'm-" Taehyung didn't get to complete his sentence when the call ended. He was more confused now, "What in the name of Yeontan is happening? Wasn't I on that crazy train? Along with everyone else, what job did I even apply for? It's literally 2am."
He heard 'Ding' and saw a pop up notification which was a location along with another message under the name of 'Sunbae-nim'
"Wait, why is the work in a hideous place? What am I getting myself into?" He then read the message,
Messages :
Sunbae-nim : 'Sorry, Taehyung-ssi, I didn't let you complete your sentence. May I know what you wanted to say or ask me?'
Taehyung:'Sunbae-nim, may I know what job I am working at? And why is the workplace so far away?'
Sunbae-nim : 'What are you talking about Taehyung-ssi? You came to the interview a few days ago and got selected, you also were already told the workplace would be far, and you would work late due to some business reasons recently. But nonetheless, you're a Mortuary Assistant. Now, if you don't have anything else to ask, I have some things to take care of, I hope to see you here soon.'
Taehyung : 'Yes, Sunbae-nim, you can expect me there.'
"What in the world?! Out of all jobs a Mortuary Assistant?! I would rather work as a garbage collector.' Taehyung wanted to cry, he was going to have to deal with dead bodies! And the smell, don't even talk about it!
Taehyung calmed himself, "It's okay Tae, you have seen many dead bodies and crime scenes. Let's do this fighting!"
He said while standing in front of the mirror already dressed comfortably. As if he was used to it he grabbed his car keys, turned the GPS on and walked to his car. "A 40 min drive, what the heck?" He started driving to his location, the roads were slightly empty with very few cars, the city was quiet and still asleep.
Taehyung drove to a distant city in the outskirts, the city was not much developed and everything was dark around there. It was mostly an industrial area with factories and ships around. Taehyung finally reached his destination and parked the car right in front of the morgue.
Taehyung got chills, he didn't want to go out, he would rather be stuck on the train with his friends than working in Morgue. Remembering his friends, he picked up his phone and scrolled through the contacts to see any of their names, or even at least a familiar one, but no, he couldn't find any of their contacts. All the contacts he had were completely unknown to him.
Taehyung sighed, gave up and got out of the car walking to the building. There weren't many workers. Just him and Sunbae-nim. "Ah, you're finally here." Sunbae-nim said.
Taehyung bowed and spoke up, "I'm really sorry for coming late Sunbae-nim."
"Ah, it's okay Taehyung, you can just call me Hyung. Now, I hope you're ready for your first day at work, I'll guide you. Usually during this shift there are actually quite a handful people here, but recently they were sent to emergency work in foreign cases. They'll be back by tomorrow, so you don't have to be too creeped out by the aura here." His Sunbae-nim explained. Taehyung 'oh-ed' in understanding and nodded his hand.
"Anyways let's get to the real work shall we?" He asked.
"Yes, Hyung." Taehyung replied.
