Three days earlier than Tuesday. Alcina is seated in her chair, drumming her fingers on the wooden desk in front of her, while her amber eyes are intently concentrated on the book in her other hand. Today was fairly tranquil, she would nearly say. This day would be great if it weren't for the fact that Alcina's three daughters are once again arguing in front of her while she reads a book in her study.
It all began when Daniela entered, ranting about how Cassandra had cheated on their game, followed by Cassandra complaining that Bela had reprimanded her for no reason, and finally her eldest daughter, fuming and enraged over the fact that her two younger sisters had made a mess in her room without cleaning it up. Oh, the difficulties she endures almost every day with these three!
"Why won't you just admit cheating?! How is it possible to win that quickly in Tekken?" Daniela clenches her teeth and forms a fist with her hands.
"I watched YouTube tutorials, duh! Why can't you just be a good sport and accept your loss? We all lose occasionally!" Cassandra expressed.
"I never lose!" Daniela yelled, accusing her sister of cheating in a comprehensive declaration.
"Can we all disregard your ridiculous game? You entered my room and made a huge mess without bothering to clean it up! You turned it into a pigsty, and I know it was you, Cass, who brought Daniela there." Bela inhaled deeply and then exhaled. "Why should I be shocked at all? You both are pigs."
"We are not pigs!" The two youngest sisters spoke simultaneously.
"Certainly, yes you are." Bela stated while putting her hands against her chest and forming a large smirk with her lips.
And, as before, the three of them began to argue, albeit much louder this time. Alcina raised her eyes to observe the three and could only sigh as she did so. The moment she finishes this chapter, she will take care of this problem.
"What is happening here?" The sound of Miranda's voice reached Alcina's ears, causing her to drop the book she was reading without even placing a bookmark to remember where she was. Damn it, she'll have to find what page it is later.
"Grandma!" The daughters went towards their grandmother, gave her a bear hug and smothered her with kisses on the cheeks after the quarreling ceased. It was a good timing that she came.
"Oh, my little darling angels." Miranda giggled and kissed each of her granddaughters on the forehead. She then turned toward Alcina, who smiled at her. "I am thrilled to see you three, but I must speak with your mother in private first. Why don't you organize a video game, and I'll meet you later? What do you think?"
All three agreed and hastily turned into flies, leaving the study in order to give their mother and grandmother some privacy.
"You did not inform me of your presence today, Mother Miranda. If I'd known then I would have asked Paula to prepare something for you. Kindly have a seat." Alcina offered and indicated a seat adjacent to her table.
"It's actually more of an unexpected visit and it's quite alright. I was in the area and decided to stop by; I must say I went at the perfect time, don't you think?"
"You did indeed went on a wonderful time. They have been fighting for over fifteen minutes at this point." As she heard Miranda laughing, Alcina shook her head and grinned.
"Oh, these girls. They're still babies even if they're grown-ups."
"Indeed. So, mother, what would you like to discuss?"
"So did Paula informed you of my recent phone call?" In response to Miranda's grin-inducing comment, Alcina nods.
"She did so naturally. Paula overlooks nothing."
