It was a cheerful morning for Dumbledore, his phoenix just sitting on the ledge of his home as the jolly man was sitting eating sherbert lemons, his favourite kind of muggle sweet. Everything seemed to be going well until he had seen a familiar owl and knew Remus had wanted to speak to him after years of no contact.
Feeling himself smiling, he took the letter of the kind owl, who sat waiting for orders as the grey-haired man read the letter in his own time. A small laugh escaped him as he read it more and more.
'Dear Albus, It is unfortunate that I haven't been able to contact you but I have been busy with my problems, including Moony. However, that is not what I wish to write about. There is a strange man who happened to have crashed in my back garden last night. He was dressed in very mangled clothes and looked no better than me after a full moon. I wasn't sure what to do with him so he is residing in my home on the couch. He had mentioned receiving a letter about a date and map reference.
His name I wasn't able to receive either, he had called himself 'The Doctor. Unfortunately, that was all I could collect from him before he collapsed on my couch. If it isn't so much trouble, would it be possible for you to meet him for further investigation as I have yet to speak with him more?
Kind Regards, Remus Lupin.'
Folding the letter ever so delicately, Dumbledore had only smiled and looked towards the owl, his arm extended. He would be meeting his good friend again, after so many years. Of course, it was Dumbledore who sent the letter anyway. Wasting no more time, The wizard appeared with a pop where he gave a big smile to the friendly cottage and knocked on the door, instantly meeting the face of a relieved Remus who allowed the man in and greeted him with joy. "Remus. So lovely to see you. I had only received your letter about this Doctor you speak of. I would like to meet him as per request." He asked gently as he walked further in and smiled at the passed-out Alien who ended up on the floor.
Remus, who had yet to recover from last night, only sighed as he glanced at the male on the floor before he gave a sheepish smile to Albus. "He has yet to wake up still but he has this strange mist flow around him every so often. I do not wish to touch him as I don't know what harm he is." He stated as he kept his wand close by. Dumbledore remained relaxed as he gave a smile and sat on a chair, both in silence before they heard a bell chime and a gasp from the man on the floor.
The Doctor had sat up quickly and checked to see if anything had changed, not noticing how Remus had gone on defence and Dumbledore had a wider grin settling on his face. His hands had checked his hair before he sighed in his relief and looked around before he saw his familiar friend and immediately stood to greet him "Albus! How lovely to see you again! Still looking as young as ever though I suppose that is expected with you being powerful" He stated as they both lightly chuckled.
Remus sighed and looked at the two get familiar, his eyes scanning the stranger. His features showed slowly as he noticed that the brown-haired male was indeed gorgeous and no doubt fit but he couldn't admit it just yet. "It seems I worried for nothing" He stated as The Doctor looked towards him before he gave a small laugh. "It seems so. Sorry for the mess, new mouth means new rules, a lottery for the regeneration" he stated as Albus laughed.
Remus was about the question what he had meant before he saw the Doctor pull out a new golden key and rush outside where he opened the Telephone box door and grinned. "Look at you...Oh, you sexy thing.." He whispered before he disappeared inside. The only sound left was a wooshing before there was nothing. Albus only smiled before he turnt to Remus.
"I see you noticed him mention regeneration. I would be happy to answer any questions but first I will tell you, He is the last of his kind so it's best you don't mention it to him," he stated as he sat both himself and Remus down and began to explain exactly what the Doctor was. "The Doctor is a fun-loving, cool, funny creature. He is an alien, born on a planet called Gallifrey and can regenerate when he is in a life-threatening injury. I do believe this is his eleventh regeneration, very different personality. They all are different though but that is because the other types are caused by specific events. Naturally, the Doctor is very eccentric, even on Gallifrey and he is also somewhat childish too. He is someone who hates being told what to do and just wants to have fun. That's another reason he left Gallifrey other than the war his planet was in. He left because he wanted to live every day, like he was on holiday, just cruising the universe, hanging out with all the best people throughout history, and having fun whenever he could.
To be honest with you, I had met him during his 9th regeneration and some part of his 10th, all of them so far seem different however, it seems this regeneration has similarly more distance from the time war than his immediate predecessors. When I met 9 he had just come from it and was still horrified, 10 meanwhile was still trying to figure out what his place was in a post-time lord universe. It seems however that the man he now knows it and could put the war behind him. Therefore he seems to be a much happier person."
Remus, who had listened to this information was shocked such a man like that could go through so much. He had wondered if he would see it for himself, however, what he didn't realise is it would be soon.It was a normal morning at Grimmauld 12. Meetings back to front, Molly wandering around the place cleaning and making food as Sirius Black sat next to Remus talking about plans before a very familiar sound played in Remus's ears as he looked at the hallway where a massive blue box was sat. No sound entered anyone as they all stared shocked and cautious. The door blew open as Doctor poked his head out, looking more clean and ready.
"Hello...Sorry.." He mumbled as he walked out and walked in, his hands twiddling each other as he looked at the wand pointed at him before he saw Remus. "Remus! There you are. I was looking for you. Sorry about the carpet.Didn't have anywhere else.." He stated as he laughed nervously.
Remus only stared wide-eyed as he felt a small blush reach his cheeks before he frowned and stood up "2 Years?! We met 2 years ago and I've had only the stories Albus has told me!" he asked. Everyone was confused about the man and Remus's interaction who only frowned more as the Doctor put his hands up. "oops...Sorry. I had to take her for a spin. Brand new. Only a trip to the moon and back.." He said softly before he was pulled into a hug, which surprised him as he hasn't known the man that long. HIs hands flaying about as he didn't know what to do.
Remus sighed and whispered so only he could hear this news. "Albus told me about you..I think its best they know.." He whispered as he slowly pulled away to see the Doctor showing a sad smile with glassy eyes before he nodded and sighed " Okay" He stated as he moved to the middle fo the room "Always with the wands isn't it..," He asked "Hello! Im the Doctor, Ima friend of Albus Dumbeldore and Remus Lupin here." he stated as he smiled slightly and clapped his hands "Any Questions?"
