Everyone inside the room congratulated them on their marriage. But rumors wouldn't stop there. "I bet she only married him because of money," one girl said, "I heard that the Millers are after the Petersons' wealth and power," the other one said. "I bet, their marriage will make them the most powerful and wealthy couple all around the world," Jenny said, interrupting two commenting girls. "And I bet that both of you are jealous because Francis Peterson is now married," Jenny continued. The two girls only glared at Jenny. With victory, she sipped her wine with a smile.
"Congratulations!" Jenny greeted Kristina and Francis. "I believe you two have met already," Kristina said. "Bro, I never thought that you would finally announce your marriage to Kristina," said Cray. "Woah, may I ask for your name, my lady?" Cray set his attention to Jenny. "Cray, this is Jenny, Kristina's friend," Francis introduced them. Cray did not pass the chance, so he asked Jenny to have a dance with him.
Everyone was having booze, but everything shut off in Francis' perspective. Leo told Francis that Gina had woken up. Francis left the party immediately without anyone noticing except Kristina. Her smiles suddenly faded, she knew that something had come up with Gina. Kristina was talking to her godparents. They wanted to see Francis, but she reasoned out that Francis was busy talking with the business partners. "Ah! A good party should not be a business meeting," Mrs. Dell said. "That can't be helped," Kristina agreed and they both laughed.
Her godparents are now occupied with their friends, so she excused herself to grab a drink. She notified her parents that she would be going home. Her parents' driver sent her home safely to their mansion. Nelly never finds it odd that her miss is always the first one to go home on occasions like the gala. Nelly just assisted her to undress, keep her dress and box it away. "Anything else, Miss? Perhaps, paints?" Nelly asked. "I wish to retire early, Nelly," Kristina said.
On the other hand, after hearing that Gina had woken up from the accident, he rushed to the hospital. But it was too late for him to catch Gina, as the nurses said that she had already been discharged since morning. With his desire to see Gina, he drives to her apartment. "Gina!" his voice rumbles into the room. He saw Gina making out with the journalist, named Gerald. "I believe both of you have met," Gina said. "I thought you both were just having an interview," Francis said. "And did you really think that I would just date a journalist? He is the CEO of WQ Media, and you, Mr. Francis Peterson no longer peaked my interest," Gina said.
Francis finally grasped the thought. Gina was no longer with him. He felt brokenhearted and, with disbelief, he fled from Gina's apartment and went home. He found his wife lying down on the bed sleeping soundly. "From now on, I am all yours," Francis said, looking at Kristina's face. "I think you have to put more effort into that," Kristina woke. They both giggled at what Kristina commented. "I'm sorry about leaving you at the gala," Francis apologized. "Is it about Gina? Would you like to talk about it?" Kristina asked. Francis was silent.
"Mr. Peterson, we may be married just for the convenience of the family business, but being your wife is also being your friend," Kristina said. "Well, Mrs. Peterson, we can talk about it tomorrow," Francis proposed. Kristina couldn't agree more, for she was tired throughout the day. The night is deep and Francis couldn't fall asleep after witnessing Gina's betrayal. Unknowingly, Kristina moved and settled over Francis' arm. Her warm breath made him calm.
"Why does it have to be like this?" Francis asked himself. He was tucking Kristina in when he saw the book she was holding. The page where Kristina's thumb is placed was like a sign to him, 'continue living and making progress'. Francis smiled and fell asleep spooning Kristina.
An alarm woke Francis and Kristina. Startled by the sound, both of them came to their senses and immediately rushed to the bathroom. "Hey! I was first!" Kristina protested. "Honey, I have to go to the office, I have an important meeting with Mr. Logan," Francis replied. "Hey, it's Monday! I have clients today!" Kristina said. Both of them are pushing and pulling each other away from the bathroom. Nelly barged inside the room and saw the couple fighting over the first one who should enter the bathroom. "I was worried something had happened, Sir, Miss, if both of you are in a rush, one of you can use the bathroom of the missus' previous room," Nelly proposed.
With Nelly's interference, Kristina sneakily entered the bathroom. Francis had no other choice but to use the bathroom next door. Francis forgot his robe, but as soon as he entered the bathroom where Kristina had previously used it, the scent of her shampoo lingered in every part. Her bathroom essentials are still inside, Francis has no other choice but to use them. He went outside the bathroom using Kristina's robe. When Francis entered their room, she saw Kristina walking out of the bathroom using his bathrobe, with her perfectly waved hair.
"I have already selected your suit for today. Go and dry your hair," Kristina said. When they were ready for breakfast, the maids were listening to the news over the radio. " The most famous celebrity, Gina, is now engaged to the famous journalist, Gerald Smith," the reporter said. Kristina and Francis are silently eating after hearing the news. In the course of time, Francis drove Kristina to the gallery. "Babe, why don't you visit me at the office after your appointment," Francis asked. "I see what I can do," Kristina said.
Kristina got inside the gallery as soon as Francis drove away. "Honey, what's my schedule today?" Kristina asked. "You have a client meeting up today for the paintings. At 10 am in the morning, there was a meeting with the sculpturist." Honey updated Kristina. "Anything for the afternoon?" Kritina asked. "The client you were supposed to meet cancelled the meeting. Miss Brown has a rescheduled schedule for the week and is hoping to reschedule," Honey said. "Reschedule her," Kristina ordered.
On the other hand, Francis is now in a business meeting with one of Kristina's godparents, who wishes to re-invest in the company. Eventually, the meeting went on smoothly and we agreed on both terms. "You know, if your father-in-law really persuaded me to re-invest in the company. As I know you will be the visionary he had in mind for the merging company, I am hoping I am not wrong," Mr. Logan said. "Sir, I won't let you down, I've shown you the results of the company in the past few months. I know I am capable," Francis said.
Mr. Logan giggled at what Francis said. "You know, Kristina also told me that when I invested in her gallery when she was only 15," Mr. Logan said. "Both of you are really something. No wonder the media describes you as the most powerful couple of the century," Mr. Brown commented. "Godfather!" Kristina greeted Mr. Logan and gave him a hug. Kristina did not forget to greet her husband with a peck on the lips. "Ah! Darling girl, how are you?" Mr. Logan asked. "Doing great! How about you?" Kristina replied. "Well, busy as usual. I have to go now, I still have business meetings to attend. Ah! Young love, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, I shall take my leave," Mr. Logan said. They bid each other farewell and waited for Mr. Logan to drive away from the company.
