Chapter 10

I was walking back with Kanzaki through the forests of the island until we came across my boy. Someone who I can say is my friend. He has no ill intentions, I don't know how other people perceive him, but he's everything I'd strive to be as a human being.

Too bad I can't aim for such an impossible goal.

It was Albert. The thing that shocked me the most about the appearance of him? He's without his sunglasses. He's got different colored eyes? Interesting.

Ayanokoji: "Albert, I thought class C retired, why are you still on the island and where are your shades?"

Albert looked at me with his shoulders slumped. His pride seems to be shattered somehow.

Albert: "... Yo bro, I couldn't bring my shades on the island because of the exam and I've been punished by our leader Ryuuen for going against his tyranny."

He seems to be telling the truth.

Ayanokoji: "So how are you going to get-by for the following days?"

I'm pondering if I should take him to the class B camp or not. He could be a spy sent by Ryuuen, but I'd probably let it slide since it's Albert, how can anyone hate the guy.

But I don't think I'd be able to get him into our camp, because of Kanzaki's nature of being wary of everything. It's a good trait to have, but it's negative right now. I'd monitor his activities if that issue came to fruition.

Albert: "I don't know man, probably eat fish and grass? At least I've got a protein source so I won't be losing any weight, watching you lift weights motivates me man."

Ayanokoji: "Hmmm, what if I told you that you can stay with class D?"

Albert widened his eyes at my suggestion.

Albert: "How come I can't just stay with your class, I don't know anyone from class D, so I'd be lonely."

Kanzaki decided to enter the conversation.

Kanzaki: "Although you may be a friend of Ayanokoji-kun, I can't let you stay with class B for obvious reasons."

Albert: "What could you even mean by that?"

Kanzaki: "Well maybe you made that story up and you're a spy. I'll finish my remark with a famous quote.

Who knows?"

I sneezed after he made that remark.

Albert: "Bless you."

Ayanokoji: "Thanks, but I don't have the clout to influence the whole class like Kanzaki, but I think you could get yourself into class D, just say that Ayanokoji vouched for you and that you're harmless."

I've noticed something during the conversation, everytime he answers questions related to being suspicious and inconspicuous or not, he'd click his tongue and blow air out of his mouth. A gym bro could see it as a habit, but I wouldn't.

Albert: "Alright, sad that I can't stay with you, but I guess I'll try my best. What direction is class D's camp?"

I told him that he'd need to head east from our location and he'd make his way there.

Albert: "All right thanks man, take care bro."

Ayanokoji: "You too, see you soon."

We parted our ways with Albert, I miss him already.

Our journey continued with Kanzaki.

Him being the observant and wary person decided to pry.

Kanzaki: "You know him?"
