As you start to wake up you find yourself in a room which was not your lab before sitting up and seeing your chest was exposed before putting a shirt on as you hear the door open and Chifuyu walks in.
Chifuyu: "Good your awake".
Me: "Where am I"?
Chifuyu: "The infirmary that missile did a lot of damage but you were lucky to have escaped with your life Jarvis told me about your situation why didn't you tell me".
Me: "Because I don't need pity so just drop it alright I have work to do".
You stand up but am forced to hold the bed to help you stay up as Chifuyu blocks your path but you continue to walk forward.
Chifuyu: "Your in no condition to move just rest".
Me: "Not going to happen my company is at stake not just that but Obadiah also has to pay for what he's done so move Chifuyu".
Chifuyu: "I see well maybe these two will convince you to rest".
As Chifuyu say that Charles and Laura walk in as they block my path too before Chifuyu leaves and I knew she trusted them enough to keep me here as I sat down on the bed.
Me: "So you both are holding me here now what".
Charles: "Each of us will take care off you until your back to full health I will be first than Laura".
Laura leaves for class as Charles sat next to you in a chair and we just watched a little TV which made it a little better.
Me: "So Charles why are you here because if I had to guess I would say it's Ichika most likely to get information on how an IS responded to him".
Charles: "Your correct my papa sent me to gather data on Ichika's IS but he also told me to gather data on you as well".
Me: "I see but that doesn't explain why your helping him because I can tell your not happy about this".
Charles: "I don't really get a say in the matter".
You turn off the TV and look at Charles before and see he is hiding more than he's telling but if he doesn't want to talk about it then it's fine.
Me: "Charles listen if your hiding something you should tell me but only tell me when your ready ok".
Charles: "Your willing to wait even if I might not tell you".
Me: "To be honest I couldn't care less if you tell me or not but even I know it doesn't hurt to trust others with your secrets".
Charles was stunned at how you spoke her papa always made you out to be a selfish player never caring about another person and yet here you are being kind for a complete stranger.
Charles: "F/n if I were to tell you my secret would you hate me".
Me: "What a stupid question no I wouldn't after all your papa is to blame because no parent should use their child for their own gain".
Charles: "That makes me happy to hear you see I'm not the child of his wife my mamma separated from my papa and had me but after a while she got sick and past away which was when my papa came to collect me I have only seen him once and spoken to him for no more than an hour".
Me: "I see in exchange for letting you in to the Dunois family he had you come here and gather data on me and Ichika what a crappy dad".
Charles: "If I may but would you grant me a request".
Me: "What's that".
Charles: "Call me by my real name".
You were confused as you put the pieces together and soon a thought came to mind but it was crazy but then again the world is crazy at times.
Me: "Charles please tell me I'm wrong but your not by any chance a girl".
Charlotte: "Actually I am and my name isn't Charles it's Charlotte that was the name my mamma gave me".
Me: "Very well Charlotte".
You could be mistaken but when she smiled you saw a slight blush and strangely enough Charlotte is actually kind of cute.
Me: "I suppose I should tell you my secret it's only fair".
Charlotte: "You don't have to".
Me: "No it's fine you see my name is F/n L/n however what people don't know is that I am the owner of L/n Industry".
Charlotte: "L/n Industry that is one of the biggest IS companies in the world and your the owner but your only 16 years old".
Me: "Yeah but it was originally my father's company but he died when I was 12 years old and I have been running the company from the shadows but this is my real secret".
You pull up your shirt an reveal the arc reactor in your chest which shocked Charlotte.
Me: "I was abducted after an assassination attempt was made on my life but I survived but not without a price close to my heart is shrapnal from the missile that was supposed to kill me and this arc reactor is the only thing keeping me alive but now this is killing me".
Charlotte: "Couldn't you just remove the shrapnal".
Me: "Not that easy it has to be done very carefully and right now I don't trust the doctors but once I have the calculations I will have Jarvis perform the operation if I live that long".
Charlotte was clearly upset but you had a single rule always tell the truth so you take hold of her hand and gave her a smile as you both just enjoy talking to each other as day soon turns to night you look over and see Charlotte sleeping before slipping out of bed and pick her up and place her in it and place the blanket on her.
Me: "Charlotte when you wake up I won't be here but I promise I am not dying today".
You walk out the infirmary and head to your lab of course Jarvis was concerned at you being up when you had not fully recovered but you had work to do but also a plan to make since people were in danger.
