Chapter 5

Avoura's POV

"Hey Viola!"

I turned around to see that it was Axel, thinking it was Viola he was talking to.

"You're looking pretty as usual. Looking forward to our date on Wednesday!" He said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I turned to look at Viola and I'm guessing she's telling me to compliment him back or something.

"Oh yeah. You're not looking too bad yourself. And I can't wait either!" I said. I'm getting grossed out. Can't believe I'm doing this with Axel. Out of all the good-looking boys in this entire college Viola could've chosen... Axel. Dunno what she sees in him, but I see pure annoyingness.

"Come on, man! You coming or not?" I heard one of his boys call him.

"I gotta get going, see you later!" He said, after stroking my hair. Ew. I'm washing it first thing when we get home... Oh, but this is Viola's body. In that case, I don't care.

"Vour, you gotta act like you actually like him! Like I do." Viola told me after Axel went off.

"Oh, I'm sorry but I'm doing the best I can! You know how much I dislike him. Seriously, out of ALL the boys, him?!" I said, with disgust.

"Oh come on! He's really nice when you get to know him. Plus, he is super cute!" Viola said, smiling.

"Correction, really annoying and super ugly." I corrected her.

Okay, to be completely honest, he wasn't that bad, he is kinda cute, but that still doesn't cover up his annoyingness.

"Come on, guys. Break time is almost over, we gotta head back to class!" Gaby said. We all went back inside the building and headed to our classrooms.

A couple of hours later...

The teacher told us that class is over for today and we're packing our things right now. Can't wait to go back to our dorm. I need a break.

I got my stuff and headed out. I saw Akira and Gaby waiting outside my classroom for me.

"Hey. Where's Viola?" I asked as I didn't see her there.

"We saw her in the class talking with your teacher. Guessing she didn't do well on that test, huh?" Akira said.

"Yeah, probably. I forgot to tell her that we had one today." I said.

Just then, I saw Viola come out of the classroom.

"Sorry, Mr. Calvin had me stay back for a bit," Viola said as she was walking toward us.

"Come on, let's go home," Akira said.

Viola's POV

We were walking back to our apartment while talking about what could've caused my body and Avoura's to swap in the first place.

"Can't believe y'all haven't been talking about how weird this all is! I mean, what on earth could've made this happen? Witchcraft?" Gaby said.

To be honest, I wasn't listening. I was too busy texting Axel on our way back to the apartment. We entered the building and went to the elevator. Akira pressed the button which had the number 3 on it and the elevator moved up.

The doors opened and we headed to our room. We unlock the door to our apartment and we all headed to our rooms. I went to the room I share with Gaby (in Avoura's body) and Avoura went to her shared bedroom with Akira (in my body). The rest of the day was filled with snacking, scrolling through TikTok, binge-watching movies on Netflix, and sleeping.

Two days later...

Avoura's POV

Guess what day it is today. Date night. I feel bad for Viola having to miss out on this because I know she's been looking forward to it, but I feel even sorrier for ME! I absolutely despise that kid. I don't even know what I'm gonna do during the date. I was getting ready when I heard Akira arguing with someone.

"Sorry, but she doesn't want to do that. She doesn't need you telling her what to do," I heard her say.

"How would you know what she wants?" Someone else responded. That voice sounds familiar.

"Uhm, in case you forgot, I'm her best friend. I know her way better than you do."

"The girl liked me since she got here. How could she say no to skipping a few classes to hang out with me?"

Hold on, is that Axel? And he wants to spend the day with me? Nu-uh. I got out of the room to see if it was actually him.

"Oh, hey, Viola," He greeted me

It's him.

"Excuse us for a second," Akira said, taking me to our bedroom.

"What's he doing here?" I asked

"He wants to spend the day with you. I guess just tonight isn't enough for him," She told me.

"Oh gosh no. Didn't he and Viola agree on just the night?"

"That's what I said! But he insisted on hanging out with you for the day."

"Can't I just say no and stick to the original plan?"

"I tried to say no for you, but he kept pushing it. He said he called in sick and told your professor that you couldn't come in either. So I guess you're spending the day with him. So sorry, good luck, girl!" Akira explained.

I can't believe this.

"Thanks, gonna need it," I said.

I walked out of the room to see Axel waiting for me.

"Viola, I told your teacher that you couldn't come in today so we could hang out for longer! Hope you don't mind," He said with a grin.

"Uh, yeah. That's fine," I said. "So, where are we heading to?"

"I was thinking of the café that just opened down the street. What do you think?"

"Sure, that sounds like fun! I guess.."

Akira, Viola, and Gaby went off to class while Axel and I skipped. I feel kind of bad for Viola cuz she's missing out on materials, though.

Akira's POV

Avoura is with that dude now and we're stuck in college, not being able to know what's happening there. Wait... I got a great idea!

"Guys! I have an idea," I told Viola and Gaby.

"Oh no... Not another one of your stupid ideas," Gaby said. How dare she. I have great ideas.

"No... this time, it's good. What if we just miss class and spy on Avoura and Axel?? So we won't miss out on any tea!" I explained it to both of them.

"It's not bad. But we can't just skip class. We're in college now, not high school." Viola complained.

"Well, just ask one of your friends to send you their notes or something. We've got better things to do. Get the binoculars, we're gonna need them," I said, standing my ground.

Wonder how this date will turn out...
