 *Magnus's pov* 

It's been six months since I last saw Emily.And I haven't stopped thinking about her since.I wonder what it's like for her,if they treat her as well as they do me.Emily must have plenty of friends by now.I'm so happy for her,finally we're living a better life.Eating three meals a day and going school.School is okay... I guess.Not that I'm fond of it.It's just I feel like I don't belong.I haven't made any friends and people always refer to me as the 'nerdy introvert' and I hate group activities because I'm really awkward around people and I can't read social cues.And me and Ajit are in seperate years so I just wander around at break times.It's been six months of cramming through those lessons though I never wanted to.I'm only really good at maths and computing.It's pretty much the only subjects I enjoy and am good at.Ajit and I have become pretty close.We hang out a lot.But the one person I'm longing to meet is Dan.I haven't seen his smile of ocean blue eyes in a while...I know someday,I'll meet him someday... I wonder what he's like at this moment in time.He's probably just as adorable as ever.

And I miss brawling.I'll have to wait two more years...two more years.Ugh!I miss flying on the back of Nillious and staring at the city from up above.

I climb out the window to take a walk.It's a habit of mine.No one actually notices anyway,except for Ajit who doesn't mind.I'm walking down the road when I see someone familiar. 

Dan Kouzo? 

But I can't act like I know him, because they aren't famous yet,so it'll mess things up in this timeline if I do. 

So I walk up to him. 

"Hey...kid?" It actually IS Dan and he's crying. 

"W-what's wrong?" 

"My cat.I've been looking everywhere for it." 

I never knew had a cat,but I guess this is Dan from two years ago so... 

"Well,I can look again with you." I offer 

"Really?Okay!" He wipes his tears away with his sleeve.And when he smiles and looks up at me that's when I get to see his face. 

10 year old Dan Kouzo is just as adorable as the Dan Kouzo I know. 

I smile back.His smile is contagious. 

"So...what type of cat is it?" I ask 

"A tabby cat!" He exclaims 

"Oh.They're really cute." 

"Mhmm!" 

"So how come you have a cat?" 

"Well... before I was born,the cat would hang around the neighborhood a lot.It was a stray cat.My parents love cats so they would feed it and stuff.And one day,they found her injured and took her in.And now she's a really healthy cat! 

Mum and Dad are going to be really sad if they found out..." 

"Hmm.We'll find her together then.I promise." 

Dan looks up at me with his huge ocean blue eye. 

"Thanks!" 

We walk around the town and talk about random stuff.I honestly don't care how long it takes to find his cat,I'm gonna do it no matter how much trouble I get in. 

We've searched everywhere in Los Volmos except for one alleyway. 

"Ugh! We're never gonna find her!" Dan wails 

"There's still one place we haven't checked." 

And in that alleyway is a tabby cat,fishing through the bins. 

"ANGEL!!!" Dan scoops Angel in his arms and cradles her. 

"Thank you for helping me find her!" 

Angel meows 

"Your welcome." 

I turn around to go. 

"Wait-what's your name?" He asks 

"It's... Magnus." I reply 

"Okay then Magnus!My name's Dan Kouzo,and I'd really like to be friends with you!"He says 

"Really?Ok,um pinpoint park,same time next week?" 

"Sure!Bye Magnus!" 

"Bye!" He waves and smiles so I do too and I can't help but feel butterflies.
