Elizabeth Martin applied some lipstick on her lips while staring at her dressing mirror . The door opened and then the image of her husband reflected in the mirror. Rubbing her lips together for the last time she turned around and flashed a smile at him. He stared back with curious eyes, his expression suggested that he was trying too hard to understand what's going on in her head. Poor Abel. He really thought she was dumb enough to fall into his trap.
"Going somewhere?" He asked moving closer.
"I'll be staying with my sister for a while. The one who married the minister of aviation. Don't miss me too much." She patted his shoulder as she made her way to the door, her heels clicking against the marble floor.
"You don't have my permission, I don't want you to go."
She turned around slowly "Why? Can't I see my family members again?" she knew how intimidated he was by her family. Even with all the wealth he acquired over the years he was still beneath them.
"Our anniversary is just in a couple of days. I want to take you on a short vacation." he countered.
She could easily tell that he was tensed. He kept lifting the corner of his lips in an awkward manner and his eyebrows were slightly raised. That was exactly what he would do when he was nervous or pretending not to be scared. He should be scared, after what she just discovered she could easily result to killing him.
Without hesitating any further she decided to spill. "I do not want to go on a vacation with you. Think about your misdeeds in my absence instead... This is not the first time I'd catch you doing sneaky things behind my back. First you had an affair with our cook now this.." She brought a small object from her bag and tossed it on the floor." And now you install bugging devices in our house."
He glanced at the object then focused his gaze on her again" I won't ask why you pretended to not know about that affair. But don't act like you don't know why I installed a bugging device in our house. There's no point in pretending Elizabeth."
" I'm not in the mood to pretend today dear... You might have gathered enough evidence to keep me behind bars but let me make one thing clear Abel. If you make one wrong move at this point, or if anything happens to me... Your daughter will die. I swear on my mother's grave that she will." Her lips curved in a sinister smile.
" don't you dare... "
" I was wondering why Henry was so glued to her but now I understand that he was just following your orders. Did you have fun playing your little detective game? Game over my love. You can either drop this case, let me go peacefully and your daughter will live, or you can press on with your plans and your daughter dies."
He looked like he was going to pass out, as someone who is hypertensive, he shouldn't involve himself in something as dangerous as trying to stop her.
" You won't hurt my daughter Elizabeth" His words sounded more like an appeal than a threat.
" My husband's daughter is my daughter too. I won't hurt her."
"I don't believe you. You're nothing but a snake, a reckless spiteful murderer. I won't let you hurt my daughter."
She looked at Abel and pouted her lips in mock pity "aww poor little daddy's girl. You should have thought about it well before deciding to have illegitimate babies with that whore."
She gave a hysteric laugh before exiting the room.
